STATEN ISLAND, NY, September 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Giordano has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Giordano currently serves as president and co-owner of Bernie's Bait and Tackle, a family business he operates in partnership with his cousin. Since acquiring the shop in 2023, he has been deeply involved in every aspect of its operations. Drawing on three decades of experience with the business—having started working there at age 18—Mr. Giordano manages staffing to ensure employees can serve the store's diverse clientele, including Russian, Spanish and Chinese speakers. He oversees inventory to maintain the largest selection of rods, reels and bait supplies in New York, and stays attuned to market trends through social media engagement and direct conversations with captains and boat owners. His commitment to providing competitive pricing, friendly service and customer satisfaction has positioned Bernie's Bait and Tackle as a leading retailer in its field.

In addition to his role at the tackle shop, Mr. Giordano owns 3035 Emmons Realty LLC, a commercial real estate company established in 2023. Through this venture, he manages properties that support his entrepreneurial pursuits and contribute to his growing portfolio. He is also the owner of IJN Realty LLC, which he founded in 2018, further expanding his interests in commercial real estate and rental properties both locally and in Miami.

Prior to dedicating himself full-time to entrepreneurship, Mr. Giordano built a distinguished two-decade career in finance. From 2021 to 2023, he served as vice president and private client relationship manager at TD Private Bank, where he worked closely with high-net-worth individuals. Before joining TD Private Bank, he served as vice president and senior private client relationship manager at Citi from 2014 to 2021. During this time, he was consistently recognized as one of the top performers nationally, earning membership in the President's Club and Top Producers every year of his tenure.

Earlier in his financial career, Mr. Giordano was vice president and senior premier relationship manager at HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management from 2007 to 2014. At both HSBC and Citi, he specialized in managing relationships with high-net-worth clients and was regularly acknowledged for his achievements by being named to the President's Club each year. His expertise encompasses financial management, customer care, inventory oversight and building lasting relationships—skills that have translated seamlessly into his current leadership roles.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Giordano has demonstrated a commitment to excellence across multiple industries. He is an affiliate of the Sheepshead Bay Yacht Club and actively mentors young employees at Bernie's Bait and Tackle, emphasizing the importance of hard work regardless of one's career path. Many former staff members credit him for shaping their work ethic before they went on to successful careers as police officers, firefighters, lawyers and teachers.

Mr. Giordano's academic background includes an MBA in finance and financial management services from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, completed in 2006. He also earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Wagner College in 2004, having received a full scholarship for his undergraduate studies. In 2016, he completed coursework at the Executive School of Education at The Wharton School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

His professional credentials are extensive. He holds Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, Series 9, Series 10, and Series 24 licenses from FINRA, an NMLS license from the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry, as well as life, health, accident and variable annuity insurance licenses from the New York State Department of Financial Services since 2007. These qualifications have supported his success throughout his finance career and continue to inform his approach as a business owner.

The foundation for Mr. Giordano's work ethic was laid early by observing his father's dedication to running the family business. Witnessing long hours and unwavering commitment inspired him to apply similar values both at home and in his professional life. This ethos is now passed on to his own children through encouragement in academics and athletics—always stressing that effort matters more than outcome.

His transition from banking to entrepreneurship stands out as a defining milestone. While Mr. Giordano found success working with high-net-worth clients at major financial institutions for nearly two decades, purchasing Bernie's Bait and Tackle marked a turning point, allowing him to pursue his passion for business ownership while honoring his family legacy. Owning commercial real estate has further enabled him to thrive independently.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Giordano is actively engaged in civic life through volunteer work such as organizing food drives for local communities. His consistent recognition as a top producer at both Citi and HSBC—including annual inclusion in the President's Club—underscores his reputation for excellence in the finance industry.

On a personal level, Mr. Giordano has been married to Christina for nearly seventeen years. Together they have three children: Isabelle, James, and Natalie. He enjoys fishing as well as participating in his children's youth sports activities, including swimming, soccer, and baseball.

Looking ahead, Mr. Giordano aims to expand Bernie's Bait and Tackle's online presence by increasing e-commerce sales as a share of total revenue while maintaining steady retail performance. He plans to introduce more proprietary products based on customer feedback from testers nationwide—building on recent successes with custom offerings shipped across the country—all while continuing to foster strong relationships within the community he serves so proudly.
