Mr. Brantingham's distinguished career of more than 30 years in industrial manufacturing, project management and supply chain consulting is marked by a series of pivotal roles and entrepreneurial ventures. Since 2006, he has served as co-founder, co-owner and Asia director of the global contract manufacturer BCI Engineering, where he both manages Asian manufacturing for US and European corporates, as well as consults for Chinese manufacturers seeking to internationalize their supply chains. In addition he and his partners have had success in financing and incubating green tech companies, as well as providing advisory services on global trade and geopolitical issues.

Additionally, he writes extensively on these topics and continues to seek consulting and board opportunities to further broaden his impact.

In this capacity, Mr. Brantingham has played a critical role in shaping BCI's direction and expanding its reach in the global marketplace. His expertise was vital during the early development of Nextracker, now known as Nextpower, a NASDAQ-listed solar tracking technology company now valued in the billions.

During Nextracker's formative years, Mr. Brantingham and his business partner at BCI Engineering managed the entire supply chain, performed value engineering to reduce manufacturing costs and provided early stage financing — an action later credited by chief executive officer Dan Shugar as essential to the company's early survival.

Prior to these achievements, Mr. Brantingham served as the director of business development at Brantingham Manufacturing from 2000 to 2005, managing a diverse network of factories that produced metals-related products within the natural gas and construction sectors. This five-year tenure provided him with foundational experience in international business management and introduced him to the complexities of international trade and manufacturing operations.

Mr. Brantingham's international academic background reflects his longstanding commitment to cross-cultural understanding and intellectual rigor. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford in 2016, a master's degree in Buddhist studies from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian studies from William & Mary. Each of his educational experiences proved integral to his professional success, enabling him to bridge cultural divides and foster trust among diverse stakeholders.

Raised in Taiwan by American missionary parents, Mr. Brantingham grew up immersed in a multi-generational "third culture family." His mother spent her formative years in India while his grandmother grew up in China, both within missionary communities. This unique upbringing, shaped by evangelical Christianity and Buddhist neighbors, and by East and West, instilled in him a natural sensitivity to multiple perspectives. He credits this background with shaping his ability to help buyers understand sellers' challenges and factories appreciate end customers' needs — skills that have defined his approach to international business.

Although Mr. Brantingham initially planned to pursue literary and artistic paths after college, financial necessity led him into advertising roles focused on international internet marketing across Asia before he joined his family's trading business in Shanghai, China, around 2000. Over time, he discovered that liberal arts perspectives — including history, language, culture and interpersonal understanding — are vital assets in business practice; this realization allowed him to integrate his intellectual interests into his work, ultimately embracing the field with authenticity.

Happily married to his wife Mariko and a proud father of three children — Miya, Thomas and Julian — Mr. Brantingham enjoys writing, playing guitar, golfing and paddleboarding as a balance to his professional responsibilities. He is also an accomplished author, having written and released the best-selling book "Confessions of an Outsourcer" which utilizes his in-depth perspective to examine the finer details of the United States' trade connection with China.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Brantingham is working on a second book that will focus on Taiwan's complex geopolitical relationship with the U.S. and China. He has plans for more written projects in the coming years and aspires to speak at business schools and companies while building a roster of consulting clients who are engaged with complex international supply chains throughout Asia.
