SCOTTSDALE, AZ, October 01, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bernis Berber has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience spanning technology, operations management and financial services, Mr. Berber has built his career around transforming complex business challenges into scalable systems, technology and measurable operational improvements. He is the co-founder of Credit Bully, where he has helped develop a technology-enabled platform that combines credit analysis, evidence-based documentation, consumer education and structured workflows to help individuals better understand and address issues affecting their credit.
In 2025, Mr. Berber joined Lost and Found Resale Interiors as Vice President of product and technology, leading the company's technology and operational transformation. He has helped evolve the business from a traditional brick-and-mortar consignment furniture store into a technology-enabled, nationwide resale platform spanning furniture, authenticated luxury handbags and jewelry. By developing and implementing systems across e-commerce, automation, inventory management, pricing, intake and fulfillment, he has helped drive significant revenue growth while expanding the company's digital reach more than tenfold. He considers the transformation one of the most meaningful accomplishments of his career and is especially excited about the company's continued growth and the opportunities ahead.
From 2024 to 2026, Mr. Berber served as director of logistics and client relations at Updike Distribution Logistics LLC, where he managed key client relationships and supported the company's continued operational growth across warehousing, transportation and final-mile delivery. During his tenure, he also served as delivery program manager from 2023 to 2025, overseeing and expanding final-mile delivery programs for prominent retail and consumer brands including Sephora, Abercrombie & Fitch, Wayfair, Backyard Discovery, NewAge Products and Whirlpool.
As an independent optimization consultant at CBA Diversified Consulting, Mr. Berber advised businesses on process improvement, operational efficiency and organizational optimization. His consulting work also extended into financial services through Boutique Hotel Advisory, where he contributed to hotel development and financial initiatives involving projects in Puerto Rico. Complementing this work, he served as a technical program manager with software development firm Stax.ai, where he applied his operational and program management experience within an early-stage technology environment.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Berber spent much of a decade at American Express, building a foundation across project management, engineering and enterprise program leadership. He began in Global Merchant Risk, transitioned into industrial engineering within Network Engineering and Optimization, and ultimately advanced to program management within Financial Crimes. Across these roles, he led and supported initiatives involving operational optimization, technology transformation, anti-money laundering and sanctions, earning an optimization award for work that generated millions of dollars in operating expense reductions. His time in Financial Crimes was especially meaningful given his background as a refugee and his firsthand understanding of how geopolitical conflict and restrictions within the global financial system can affect individuals and families.
Beyond his professional roles, Mr. Berber is a member of InfraGard and the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations, reflecting his continued interest in national security, international affairs and the intersection of geopolitical issues, technology and the global financial system.
With an equally rigorous academic foundation, Mr. Berber earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. During college, he was a two-sport NCAA athlete, attending on a football scholarship as a wide receiver while also competing in both indoor and outdoor track, including the 55- and 60-meter sprints indoors and the 100-, 200- and 400-meter events outdoors. Alongside the demands of athletics and an engineering curriculum heavily rooted in mathematics, he held a variety of roles throughout his college years, including tutoring mathematics at a local school for individuals pursuing their GED, working security at a local bar, staffing the front desk of the university fitness center, officiating basketball and coaching youth football. He also spent time as a practice player for the women's basketball team. During this period, he became a certified professional jeweler through his work with Jensen Jewelers, experience that later proved valuable as he helped shape the new jewelry vertical at Lost and Found Resale Interiors.
Complementing his formal education, Mr. Berber continued to invest in leadership development through American Express, earning the American Express and Harvard Certificate in Leadership Excellence and completing an additional leadership development program through Harvard Business Publishing.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Berber's personal history is defined by resilience, perseverance and a deep appreciation for opportunity. Born in Foca, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he spent his childhood amid the Bosnian War, a conflict marked by genocide, ethnic cleansing and the forced displacement of communities throughout the region, including the area surrounding his birthplace.
At the start of the conflict in April 1992, Mr. Berber, his mother, sister and grandparents were forced into hiding in eastern Bosnia while his father served on the front line. They remained in hiding for months before beginning a dangerous escape in the summer of 1992 with other civilians seeking safety. Traveling for days and moving only at night through mountainous terrain, they eventually reached free territory near Mount Igman, just outside Sarajevo. Mr. Berber later lived in Zenica as his family worked to rebuild their lives amid the continuing conflict.
His family's journey eventually took them through Croatia before they came to the United States as refugees in 1999. In the years that followed, his parents helped his grandparents rebuild their childhood home in Bosnia after it had been burned and destroyed during the war, while also establishing a new life in the United States. The experiences of war, displacement and rebuilding have remained a lasting influence on Mr. Berber's perspective, work ethic and determination, as well as his appreciation for the opportunities he has been able to pursue in the United States.
Mr. Berber is the proud father of his daughter, Lilyana, whose name carries a deeply personal connection to his Bosnian heritage. Her name was inspired by the lily and fleur-de-lis, symbols closely associated with the medieval Kingdom of Bosnia. The symbolism also connects to Queen Catherine of Bosnia, one of the final queens of the medieval kingdom and the last legitimate heir to the Bosnian crown. Born into the Kosaca noble family, whose historic lands included the region surrounding Foca, Mr. Berber's birthplace, she later spent her final years in Rome and was buried at Santa Maria in Aracoeli. Centuries later, the golden lilies were revived in the symbols of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war, giving them an especially personal meaning for Mr. Berber as symbols carried by the defenders whose efforts helped make his own family's survival and escape possible. For him, Lilyana's name represents far more than the beauty and grace of the flower itself. It carries Bosnia's history, resilience and heritage forward, and he hopes its meaning will one day inspire her to explore that history, understand the sacrifices behind it and take pride in where her family came from.
Mr. Berber shares his life with his longtime girlfriend and partner, Jill, founder of Lost and Found Resale Interiors and their two dogs Achilees and Nugget. He speaks of her with tremendous admiration, both for what she has accomplished and for the grace, strength and integrity with which she carries herself. He especially admires the devotion and responsibility she brings to motherhood, the importance she places on family and the example she sets through her actions. He describes Jill as a woman of exceptional character, guided by a strong moral compass, a deep sense of honor and an unwavering commitment to doing what she believes is right. Through some of the most challenging periods of his life, she has remained a steadfast source of strength, stability and encouragement. He also holds tremendous respect for her as a business leader and for the pride, determination and personal responsibility with which she has built Lost and Found Resale Interiors. Her resilience, loyalty and belief in him have made her an extraordinary part of his journey, and the life they continue building together remains one of his greatest sources of gratitude, pride and motivation.
Looking ahead, Mr. Berber is focused on helping take Lost and Found Resale Interiors from a longtime Scottsdale staple to a widely recognized destination throughout Arizona for furniture, home decor and luxury resale, before expanding that footprint nationally. Rather than pursuing growth for its own sake, his focus is on building the technology, operational systems and logistics infrastructure necessary to scale the company while preserving the experience and identity that made it successful locally. The foundation currently being developed across e-commerce, pricing, intake, inventory management, automation and nationwide fulfillment is intended to support additional locations, greater geographic reach and a model capable of moving even large furniture efficiently across the country.
Ultimately, Mr. Berber hopes to demonstrate how technology and disciplined operations can modernize an industry that has traditionally remained highly localized. His career reflects a consistent ability to connect technology, operations management and financial insight with practical execution, and he intends to continue applying that approach to building businesses and systems designed for sustainable, long-term growth.
Mr. Berber's life and career reflect a consistent commitment to resilience, discipline and purposeful growth. From overcoming adversity to leading transformation across technology, operations and financial services, he continues to apply his experience, work ethic and perspective toward creating lasting impact in the businesses, industries and communities he serves.
