WOODBURY HEIGHTS, NJ, October 01, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Zeeshan Amin has been recognized for more than two decades of leadership, growth and transformation within the global energy industry.

From beginning his career as a petroleum inspector to becoming a senior executive responsible for a major oil, gas and chemicals business across North America, Mr. Amin's journey has been defined by ambition, resilience and an ability to build high-performing teams and transform businesses.

Since 2024, Mr. Amin has served in senior executive leadership at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, one of the world's leading testing, inspection and certification companies.

He was appointed Head of Oil, Gas and Chemicals for the United States in July 2024, with his responsibilities subsequently expanding across North America and the Bahamas and, in September 2025, to broader continental oversight.

Under his leadership, the business has achieved significant growth and strengthened its competitive position.

Mr. Amin attributes these results to disciplined execution and the people responsible for delivering it. His leadership philosophy centers on accountability, loyalty and creating an environment in which talented individuals can perform at their highest level.

His progression through SGS reflects a career built from within operations. From 2023 to 2024, he served as Director for U.S. Inland, U.S. East and the Bahamas. He previously led the East Coast beginning in 2019 after serving as Area Manager for the Northeast. Between 2017 and 2019, he managed New York Harbor operations in Carteret, New Jersey, first as Operations Manager and later as Branch Manager.

Mr. Amin joined SGS in the United States in 2016 as an Operations Coordinator following earlier experience with other companies in the testing, inspection and certification industry. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Atlantic Regional Group at ASTM Headquarters in Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2018.

The foundation of his leadership career, however, began long before he entered the executive ranks.

Immediately after high school, Mr. Amin began working as a petroleum inspector. The role placed him in demanding field environments where technical knowledge, accuracy and accountability were essential. His work included boarding vessels offshore at night using Jacob's ladders, conducting quantity surveys, working around shore tanks reaching approximately 70 feet in height, testing petroleum samples and preparing documentation involving high value cargoes.

Within three years, he advanced through laboratory and management responsibilities. Those experiences shaped a leadership philosophy he maintains today: strategies ultimately succeed or fail through the people responsible for executing them.

That perspective has made mentorship one of the defining priorities of his career.

Having progressed through much of his early professional life without substantial mentorship, Mr. Amin has made developing others a central responsibility of leadership. He has consistently sought to identify talent internally, create opportunities for advancement and invest in individuals who have entrusted their careers to his leadership.

He considers the success of those he has mentored among his most meaningful professional accomplishments.

Many have continued building their careers within his organization despite opportunities elsewhere, reflecting the culture, trust and shared purpose developed within his teams.

Mr. Amin has complemented his operating experience with executive education from several leading business schools. In 2025, while already holding significant executive responsibilities, he completed Harvard Business School Online's Credential of Leadership, Impact and Management in Business (CLIMB), fulfilling a long-standing personal objective to pursue advanced business education at Harvard.

He also earned a certification in Strategy Execution from Ivey Business School at Western University in 2025 and completed studies in business administration, management and operations through INSEAD in 2022. His earlier foundation in advanced mathematics, physics and chemistry provided the technical grounding that enabled him to succeed in the petroleum inspection industry.

Among his professional recognitions, Mr. Amin received SGS's Best Performer award in 2019 following his role in a major business turnaround.

His approach to business has remained consistent throughout his career: establish a clear objective, build the right team, create accountability and execute relentlessly. He views setbacks as part of meaningful achievement and believes resilience, discipline, commitment and ambition are capabilities that can be deliberately developed.

Family subsequently became one of his strongest motivations.

Married since 2013, he credits his wife's resilience and support with helping him navigate periods of hardship and uncertainty. The birth of his son further strengthened his determination to build lasting security and opportunity for the next generation.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Amin has participated in charitable initiatives supported through SGS, including partnerships with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, bicycle-building initiatives and charitable events in Canada. Outside of business, his interests include automobiles, horology and fitness, and he maintains a disciplined personal routine that reinforces the focus and consistency he brings to leadership.

Today, Mr. Amin operates within the upper levels of leadership of an organization employing more than 100,000 people worldwide and regularly engages with senior corporate leadership on matters affecting the business.

His long-term ambition is to lead an organization as a chief executive officer or chief commercial officer, applying the operational knowledge, commercial discipline and leadership principles developed over more than two decades in the energy industry.

For Mr. Amin, that ambition extends beyond reaching another executive title. He hopes his career demonstrates what is possible when opportunity is combined with preparation, resilience and sustained execution.

From climbing Jacob's ladders as a petroleum inspector to leading businesses across international markets, his journey reflects a simple belief: leadership is not determined by where someone begins, but by what they are willing to learn, endure and build along the way.
