LAKE WORTH, FL, October 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Gary Mohl has been recognized for his work in home care operations, senior care risk management, and Alzheimer's and dementia education.

Mr. Mohl has owned Senior Helpers of South Palm Beach since he and his wife, Leann, opened the franchise in May 2008. Today, he oversees the agency's operations and finances and leads a workforce of approximately 155 employees. His focus on quality care includes employing W-2 caregivers, maintaining rigorous hiring and competency standards, and establishing a hands-on caregiver training center.

His commitment to home care grew from a personal experience: watching his grandparents receive care that fell short of what they needed. After layoffs at the South Florida construction company where he worked, he and Leann decided to build a business grounded in the attentive, compassionate service he had wanted for his own family. Leann remains active in the business and serves as a goodwill ambassador, leading in fitness activities, support groups and memory games for clients in a variety of care settings.

Dementia education is a central part of Mr. Mohl's work. He is a certified trainer in Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care and is certified to provide the Virtual Dementia Tour through Second Wind Dreams. He has also trained first responders and earned dementia education credentials through Senior Helpers. He plans to expand these efforts to help care professionals and families better understand people living with brain changes.

Beyond his agency, Mr. Mohl has helped connect professionals across South Florida's senior care community. In 2019, he co-founded Senior Healthcare Coordinators, a networking group that brings together healthcare professionals on a monthly basis for regular educational discussions. He also served on Senior Helpers' Southeast council from 2012 to 2017.

Mr. Mohl served on the board of the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce, now The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, from 2015 to 2020, including terms as chair-elect from 2016 to 2017 and board chair from 2017 to 2019. He previously served as vice chair of the Boynton Health Care Council from 2012 to 2013 and chair from 2014 to 2016.

Before entering home care, Mr. Mohl was Director of Operations at All Steel & Gypsum Products in Florida from 2005 to 2007. Earlier, he spent more than a decade with his family's business, Defender Inc., as vice president of manufacturing and an industrial engineer. His responsibilities included negotiating employee pay, factory set up and flow as well as rate structures with the plant's union.

Mr. Mohl earned a Bachelor of Science in management from Philadelphia University, now Thomas Jefferson University, in 1988. He later earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University. He is a member of the Home Care Association of America and supports organizations including the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Community Care, the Boynton Beach Soup Kitchen and the George Snow Scholarship Fund.

His agency has received multiple local home care awards, as well as President's Club and Top Performer recognition from Senior Helpers Corporation. Looking ahead, Mr. Mohl plans to continue growing the agency and explore technology that can improve efficiency while preserving the personal connection at the heart of home care.
