LA QUINTA, CA, October 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mitch Anderson has been recognized for achievement in electric vehicle charging station operations.
Mr. Anderson currently serves as managing partner of Get Charged Fast EV Charging in New York, a role he has held since 2024. He oversees all aspects of EV charging site development and operations, personally handling money raising, accounting, marketing and legal work. Over the past two years, Mr. Anderson has negotiated and executed over 60 investment contracts that fund each charging station uniquely. Having each station as its own business and handling major business functions directly distinguishes his business from many competitors in the electric vehicle charging sector who require large scale to make profits. His deliberate strategy emphasizes lean operations and profitability, setting Get Charged Fast EV Charging apart in the industry. Through this work, Mr. Anderson has established himself as an expert in electric vehicle charging station industry.
In 2023, Mr. Anderson joined Evie Networks in the United States, where he contributed to business development initiatives for one year. During this period, he leveraged his extensive experience in energy markets to support the expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure.
Prior to his involvement with Evie Networks, Mr. Anderson served as chief executive officer of Source Power & Gas in Texas from 2015 to 2019. In this capacity, he guided the company through a dynamic phase within the competitive energy retail landscape.
From 2007 to 2015, Mr. Anderson was chief executive officer of ERM Power Retail Pty Ltd in Australia. This tenure stands out as a defining chapter in his career. In 2007, after both his employer and its main competitor were sold within the same month, Mr. Anderson identified a significant gap in the market. He developed a business plan and presented it to two potential backers: an international investment bank and a small family-owned power station company. Both parties expressed immediate interest, but Mr. Anderson chose to partner with the family company, drawing on insights gained from his earlier experience at Enron regarding the complexities of large corporate structures. He built ERM Power Retail from inception into a successful enterprise that was ultimately sold to Shell Energy for $700 million.
Earlier in his career, from 1992 to 2007, Mr. Anderson held financial analyst and business development roles at WEL Energy Group, UMS Group, Contact Energy, Enron and Ergon Energy across New Zealand, Australia and the United States. These positions provided him with broad exposure to electricity retail and trading industries, laying the foundation for his later executive leadership roles.
Mr. Anderson's academic background includes a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Southern California, earned in 1989, and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management from California State University Los Angeles, completed in 1987. The analytical skills and decision-making frameworks he acquired during his studies have been instrumental throughout his professional journey. He credits his success to a unique blend of decisive action and rigorous analysis — an approach shaped by observing both his father's entrepreneurial drive and his father-in-law's methodical reasoning.
His entry into the electricity retail and trading sector early in his career led to nearly two decades of industry experience before transitioning into electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The move into this emerging field was prompted when a former colleague approached him about expanding an established charging network into the United States. Although the original investor withdrew due to unrelated setbacks, Mr. Anderson assumed responsibility for negotiating a new partnership with a New York-based entity. This marked a shift from working for others toward building equity in his own venture.
Throughout his career, Mr. Anderson has maintained active membership with industry organizations such as the CEO Institute.
Beyond professional pursuits, Mr. Anderson has demonstrated civic engagement as a volunteer basketball coach for youth teams in Australia for eight years. He has also achieved recognition as a certified Toastmaster at the first two levels and earned satisfaction as a single digit handicap golfer.
Born in Rome, Georgia, Mr. Anderson is married and has one son. His wife has been supportive throughout their numerous relocations across California, New Zealand, Australia, Texas, New York and Arizona — more than ten moves initiated independently by Mr. Anderson rather than dictated by employers or corporate transfers. Their son attended five different high schools across Australia, Arizona and Texas during these transitions.
Mr. Anderson enjoys playing golf during his personal time. Looking ahead, he anticipates modest growth for Get Charged Fast EV Charging by adding several more stations while maintaining its lean operational model, rather than pursuing the aggressive expansion strategies typical in the industry. He remains open to considering offers that reflect the true value of his company's assets but is not actively seeking to sell the business at this time. Alongside these professional plans, he and his wife are considering relocating from California to western Connecticut to be closer to Get Charged stations while maintaining some distance from daily operations.
