NEW YORK, NY, October 03, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Prof. Dr. Ingrid Vasiliu-Feltes, WBAF USA Board Chair and former GBA Board Member, delivered a keynote address titled "Architecting Sustainable Global Finance Ecosystems: Orchestrating Blockchain, AI and Quantum Standards" at the Future of Money, Governance and the Law 2026 event that took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The New York segment was hosted by the Government Blockchain Association and the Dynamic Coalition of Blockchain Assurance and Standardization, recognized by the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), creating a high-level forum for dialogue on the future of financial ecosystems, governance, and digital trust.

"The next architecture of global finance must be sovereign and sustainable by design, and standards-enabled at every layer," said Prof. Dr. Vasiliu-Feltes. Her keynote mapped the evolving global financial landscape, highlighting how the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, Bank for International Settlements, G7, G20, United Nations Trade and Development, European Central Bank and Eurosystem, among others, are reshaping the financial ecosystem, while calling for greater orchestration across the standards generated by the International Organization for Standardization, International Telecommunication Union, National Institute of Standards and Technology, European Telecommunications Standards Institute, and other key agencies.

Prof. Dr. Ingrid Vasiliu-Feltes concluded with three main takeaways: sovereignty must preserve strategic agency and resilience; sustainability must align financial transformation with the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda; and standards orchestration must provide the connective infrastructure for trusted interoperability. She emphasized that as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and quantum technologies converge, the future of global finance will depend not only on technological advancement, but on the ability to orchestrate these technologies across borders, industries, jurisdictions, and standards ecosystems.
