Dr. Emch has established herself as an expert in pharmacy leadership and compounding pharmacy operations, earning recognition for her significant contributions to the field. Since 2023, Dr. Emch has served as a vertical owner and vice president of pharmacy operations at Eden Pharmacy. In this capacity, she oversees business development and operations teams, reports to the C-suite on a regular business review cadence, manages strategic partnerships, sets pharmacy strategy and delivers that strategy to the organization, and ensures the execution of all pharmacy verticals.

Since the launch of Eden Pharmacy, Dr. Emch has successfully guided the New Mexico-based organization through a period of exceptional growth, approximately 120% in its first year under her leadership, far surpassing the industry standard of around 10% for high-performing pharmacies. She also built a team of over 20 professionals and has fostered an organizational culture she describes with genuine pride.

Before her tenure at Eden Pharmacy, Dr. Emch was the senior director of operations at Innovation Compounding Pharmacy from 2020 to 2023. During this period, she honed her leadership skills within the compounding pharmacy sector, contributing to operational excellence and innovation. Dr. Emch also spent five years, beginning in 2014, as a compounding laboratory manager at Smart Pharmacy, where she gained hands-on experience managing laboratory operations and supporting the creation of specialized medications for patients with complex needs.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Emch completed a pharmacy internship at East Marietta Drugs from 2012 to 2014. This experience provided foundational exposure to the independent pharmacy environment and deepened her interest in personalized medicine. Dr. Emch's introduction to the profession began as a pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy between 2008 and 2010, following her initial role at a nearby Publix Pharmacy from 2006 to 2007.

Before her paid positions, Dr. Emch recalls discovering a passion for creating specialized medications tailored to individual patient needs during an internship at an independently owned compounding pharmacy. This experience inspired her dedication to compounding pharmacy, a field she finds both fascinating and vital for patients facing serious health challenges.

Dr. Emch's educational background has played a pivotal role in shaping her expertise. She completed pre-pharmacy and chemistry coursework at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy from the school of pharmacy at Mercer University in Atlanta in 2014, equipping her with advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills that have been instrumental throughout her career. In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Emch became a registered pharmacist after passing the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination in 2014.

Active in her professional circle, Dr. Emch maintains affiliation with the American Pharmacists Association and the Seeds Scientific Research and Performance Institute, underscoring her commitment to professional development and industry engagement. Throughout her career, she has been quoted in multiple media articles, including 'What Women Over 40 Need to Know About GLP1 and Weight Loss,' reflecting her prominence as a thought leader in her field.

Dr. Emch attributes her professional success primarily to her faith, which guided her throughout pharmacy school as she sought to glorify God through her work. The health experiences of her family members have also been a driving force behind her commitment to understanding compounded treatments and making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

Looking ahead, Dr. Emch aspires to continue advancing within compounding pharmacy leadership, whether at Eden Pharmacy or another organization, with ambitions of reaching a C-suite-level position. She finds deep fulfillment in building teams and organizations and remains dedicated to fostering growth wherever her career may lead.
