Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Mr. Alvarez Loscher has built a career at the intersection of law, television production, and international media. Today, as vice president of business and legal affairs at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, he helps guide the legal and commercial strategy behind television productions across the United States and Latin America.

Since assuming his current role in 2025, Mr. Alvarez Loscher has provided business and legal leadership for multiple multimillion-dollar productions based in Miami and across Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina. His work spans the lifecycle of a production, from structuring key talent and production arrangements to addressing rights exploitation, licensing and windowing, production incentives, promotional commitments, public service initiatives, clearances, and other complex business and legal matters.

As a business and legal affairs executive, he works closely with creative, production, finance, and senior business leaders to navigate commercial and legal issues throughout the development, production, and exploitation of content. His experience includes negotiating agreements involving key talent, producers, and other creative participants; advising on compensation, exclusivity, promotional obligations, and contractual options; and addressing intellectual property, chain-of-title, rights clearance, and content exploitation across platforms and territories.

His work also reflects the complexities of cross-border production, including different legal and regulatory environments, labor and employment considerations, production incentives and compliance, and the allocation of rights and responsibilities among studios, production companies, talent, and other participants. He has helped resolve matters involving production costs, delivery and performance obligations, rights ownership, and contractual interpretation.

A central element of his role is balancing legal risk with broader business objectives. Mr. Alvarez Loscher works with business and creative teams to develop practical solutions that allow productions to move forward while protecting the company's commercial interests. His responsibilities extend beyond traditional legal analysis into production strategy, risk allocation, rights management, and executive decision-making.

He also plays a leadership role within the business and legal affairs function, advising colleagues on complex matters and mentoring team members as they assume greater responsibility. He considers developing strong professionals around him an important part of his role as an executive.

Mr. Alvarez Loscher's appointment as vice president continued a steady progression within NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. He served as senior counsel from 2022 to 2025 and as counsel from 2020 to 2022, with his responsibilities expanding alongside the scope and complexity of the company's productions.

Before joining NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, he developed his production-law experience at Cisneros Studios LLC, where he served as a production attorney after initially joining the company as a production legal clerk. He began his legal career in Venezuela with Alvarez Puche & Associates, where he worked first as a legal assistant and later as an associate.

Mr. Alvarez Loscher earned a Master of Laws in international arbitration from the University of Miami in 2016. He completed his law degree at Universidad Monteávila in Caracas in 2012, and a specialization in corporate law at Universidad Metropolitana in 2014.

He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2017 and has been registered as authorized house counsel with The Florida Bar since 2019. He has also been affiliated with the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Caracas since 2012. His legal qualifications and experience across markets have shaped an international and multidisciplinary approach to media production.

Alongside his corporate career, Mr. Alvarez Loscher served as a professor at the School of the Arts and Media Institute of Miami from 2024 to 2025, sharing practical insight into the legal and business dimensions of the media industry.

His civic and cultural engagement includes service since 2021 as a committee member with Hispanic Unity of Florida Inc. He also co-founded an arts education nonprofit organization focused on expanding access to artistic opportunities for individuals from low-income communities in New York.

Mr. Alvarez Loscher credits his family, mentors, and friends with playing an important role in his professional development. His experience relocating from Venezuela to the United States and building a career across different legal systems, cultures, and business environments has shaped his approach to leadership and reinforced the importance he places on adaptability, judgment, and collaboration.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Alvarez Loscher practices Kung Fu and pursues interests in photography and sailing.
