SEVERN, MD, October 15, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kevin E. Gray has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Gray's professional journey of more than 25 years is marked by innovation, resilience and a dedication to advancing the glass installation and equipment rental industries. As the owner and chief executive officer of Ergo Lifting Technologies, he has built the company into a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of glass manipulators. Under his guidance, Ergo Lifting has revolutionized the glazing process with its specialized glass manipulation devices. Kevin has also collaborated with major manufacturers such as JLG to improve load capacity and develop new man baskets for enhanced safety and efficiency.
Mr. Gray's expertise extends to custom fabrication for high-profile projects, including installations at the White House and United States embassies worldwide as well as luxury residences and prominent museums. His company is regarded as a one-stop shop for glass glazers, providing solutions for complex installations and serving as a valuable resource throughout the United States.
In addition to his work at Ergo Lifting Technologies, Mr. Gray has served as vice president of Skyreach Equipment Inc. in Severn, Maryland, since 2015. Overseeing all daily operations, he works hands-on with every machine in the fleet, dispatches products and provides training on advanced glass equipment. Also pivotal in developing relationships with clients and manufacturers, he has overseen the opening of new locations including in Richmond, Virginia, and established educational "lunch and learn" programs to introduce new technologies to industry professionals. He frequently accompanies his team on job sites, demonstrating proper equipment uses and guiding clients through challenging installations, including those involving hanging manipulators for cranes.
Outside of the glass installation and equipment sectors, Mr. Gray has made significant contributions as an instructor and trainer with the Adaptive Sports Foundation — which supports military veterans and families of the fallen with impactful recreational activities — where he spent 20 years teaching both children and adults with physical or cognitive challenges how to enjoy action sports like snowboarding and skiing.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Gray held the position of vice president at High Reach of Maryland from 2003 to 2014. During this period, he gained extensive experience in equipment rental management and developed his reputation for reliability among longstanding customers who have worked with him since he was 19 years old. He began his professional journey as a product support technician at the leading electronics manufacturer OEM Controls from 1999 to 2002, honing many of the technical skills in equipment maintenance and customer support that continue to serve him well today.
Over the course of his two decades in the field, Mr. Gray has become a recognized expert in equipment rental, glass manipulation/installation, high-end residential projects and custom fabrication for a variety of applications. His ability to rebuild after significant setbacks — including losing everything during an industry downturn — is a testament to his perseverance and problem-solving skills. Notably, he navigated challenges such as sourcing solutions for curved radius glass installations by leveraging international connections he formed through networking at prominent conventions like Glasstec in Germany.
Hailing from an equally accomplished academic foundation, Mr. Gray earned a Bachelor of Arts in aviation systems and management from The Ohio State University in 2003. His collegiate experience was shaped by his active participation in sports and coaching while he pursued aspirations of becoming a professional pilot and playing lacrosse; however, he ultimately dedicated himself to coaching the emerging lacrosse team at Hilliard Darby High School. Alongside two other coaches, he transformed the team from humble beginnings into state championship contenders — an early example of his leadership abilities and lasting impact on young people.
Mr. Gray first entered the construction equipment rental field at age 19 while he was in college; working with boom lifts and forklifts alongside his cousin during summer breaks, he quickly recognized opportunities for growth within the industry. After the events of September 11 led to a downturn in aviation, he shifted his focus entirely to building his business; this entrepreneurial drive led him into oil field support services in Texas before market changes required him to pivot once again.
Despite losing much during this period, Mr. Gray's determination enabled him to secure support from major manufacturers such as JLG, Genie and Skyjack as well as asset-based lenders who trusted his vision for recovery. With this backing, he launched Skyreach Equipment, which rapidly expanded by specializing in rentals for glazing contractors and maintaining its reputation for reliability and quality service.
Beyond his business endeavors, Mr. Gray is known for his commitment to civic-minded initiatives and charity support. He has been a board member of the Hyperformance Foundation since 2025, continuing his support for initiatives focused on health and wellness for veterans through adaptive sports programs nationwide. His involvement extends to aiding wounded warriors through both direct service and donations via partnerships with organizations such as the Gary Sinise Foundation.
Mr. Gray's exemplary leadership qualities were recognized when he was invited to coach Team USA at the Invictus Games in Vancouver — an event founded by Prince Harry that serves as an international competition for wounded or sick veterans — where he guided athletes through training camps at Lake Placid before they competed on the world stage.
In his personal life, Mr. Gray finds joy in spending time on mountains or boating with his wife of two years — together for 12 years — who serves as a cardiac nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Maintaining an active lifestyle outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys outdoor hobbies like snowboarding, skiing, attending music events featuring his favorite bands, traveling and biking.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Gray is focused on expanding his company's impact within the equipment manufacturing and rental industry by creating a specialized division dedicated to glass manipulation technology that enhances safety and productivity on job sites across North America. His ultimate aim is to address workforce shortages by promoting technology adoption among contractors while also continuing his volunteer work with veterans through the Hyperformance Foundation and supporting adaptive sports programs for children with disabilities.
