CARMEL, IN, October 15, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Revkah Gordon has been recognized for achievement in interior design services.
Ms. Gordon's award-winning professional journey in interior design is marked by entrepreneurship, expertise and an unwavering commitment to creativity and excellence. As the owner of and principal interior designer at Revkah Design, which she founded in Carmel, Indiana, in 2020, she has built her firm into a recognized name in both national and international markets.
Ms. Gordon established Revkah Design as a company after seven years of unofficial practice, transforming her passion into a thriving business. In her role as creative director, she oversees all creative projects and leads a team of two talented women and provides on-site guidance and coaching to ensure continuous improvement within her team. Her leadership style emphasizes mentorship and growth, fostering an environment where adversity strengthens relationships and drives collective achievement.
A defining milestone in Ms. Gordon's career came in 2025 with the Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home project. Commissioned by a National Basketball Association (NBA) player with deep local roots and a family legacy of athletic achievement, this expansive estate required balancing luxury with functionality to match the family's active lifestyle. The strict timeline and complexity of the project challenged her and her team, resulting in significant professional development and lasting personal connections. Completing this project not only showcased her ability to deliver under pressure but also underscored the values of resilience and teamwork.
Prior to founding her own firm, Ms. Gordon gained valuable experience as a designer at Carrington Homes, honing her skills in large-scale custom home building selections and collaborating closely with builders on intricate projects. Her expertise has allowed her to connect and work with several prominent builders in the area, making her a sought-after specialist in the field.
Alongside her primary roles, Ms. Gordon is an active member of her local Chamber of Commerce, the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis and the American Society of Interior Designers, reflecting her ongoing dedication to professional growth and industry engagement.
Before venturing onto her path in interior design, Ms. Gordon earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Although she initially pursued a career in nursing — working in intensive care and cardiovascular recovery — her creative upbringing inspired her eventual transition to interior design. Growing up in a household where remodeling projects were frequent and creativity was encouraged, she developed practical skills from an early age. Her parents' belief that "if you can envision something, you can make it happen" became foundational to her approach as a designer.
While working as an in-house selections and interior design coordinator for a builder, Ms. Gordon discovered her fervor for the construction and engineering aspects of homebuilding. Reflecting on her storied journey to date, she credits the mentorship she received from architect Grady McEntire, who provided invaluable guidance as she deepened her expertise in new construction projects. She is also immensely grateful for the unwavering love and support of her family and remains driven by her passion and appreciation for the field of interior design.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Gordon has been civically engaged with Women Build It as a coach and mentor since 2024. Happily married and a proud mother, she leads a rich and fulfilling family life alongside her husband, Dr. David Gordon, and their three children: Amara, Aylah and Cole. As a balance to her work with Revkah Design, she cherishes spending time with her children, attending their various activities such as swimming, piano lessons, equestrian events and soccer matches, and preparing meals for the family.
Ms. Gordon's outstanding leadership, reputation for creativity and community impact have seen her recognized with several accolades in recent years. She was presented with the Readers' Choice Award from Indianapolis Monthly and received an Architectural Digest regional spread for Indiana — both in 2026 — and was designated as an Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home Designer in 2025. Furthermore, she was named as the Face of Interior Design by Indianapolis Monthly Faces in both 2025 and 2026 and honored as Woman of the Year 2026 by Women Build It.
Determined to further her impact in the coming years, Ms. Gordon is exploring opportunities to expand into multi-unit community development aimed at individuals nearing retirement age who desire luxury living without the need for extensive maintenance responsibilities. She is passionate about creating communities that promote wellness, social engagement and healthy lifestyles for this demographic — inspired by her own parents' experiences — while maintaining meaningful relationships with all those she serves.
Ms. Gordon's life and career reflect ambition fueled by enthusiasm, gratitude for the invaluable support of her loved ones and colleagues, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional results for her clients across diverse backgrounds and settings.
