TAMPA, FL, October 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anthony F. Arredondo has been recognized for his accomplishments and leadership in custom swimming pool construction, pool renovation and repair, and outdoor living design.
Mr. Arredondo has built a distinguished career defined by entrepreneurship, industry leadership, technical expertise and a commitment to elevating professional standards within the swimming pool industry. Since founding West Shore Pools & Outdoor Living LLC in Florida in 2011, he has guided the company's growth from a small pool service operation into an award-winning swimming pool construction, renovation and repair firm serving the Tampa Bay region.
As president, Mr. Arredondo provides executive oversight of the company's new construction, renovation, repair and outdoor living projects. He leads a team that includes operations, project management, service and technical professionals, while remaining actively involved in project quality control and job-site inspections. His hands-on leadership philosophy reflects his belief that successful contracting requires both strong business systems and direct accountability in the field.
Mr. Arredondo entered the swimming pool industry after retiring from an executive career and built West Shore Pools from the ground up. What began with a small number of pool-cleaning accounts steadily developed into a comprehensive swimming pool and outdoor living company recognized throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Before establishing West Shore Pools & Outdoor Living LLC, Mr. Arredondo served as executive marketing director for a major media company. His experience in strategic marketing, communications, customer engagement and business development would later play an important role in his approach to entrepreneurship and the growth of West Shore Pools.
Throughout his career, Mr. Arredondo has become a recognized authority in custom swimming pool construction, pool renovation and repair, project management and outdoor living design. His industry knowledge has been featured in *Pool Magazine* and *PoolPro Magazine,* and he has appeared as a guest on the *Pool Chasers* podcast. He has also been interviewed by Tampa Bay media regarding swimming pool safety issues, including pool filter explosions, helping educate consumers on proper maintenance, equipment safety and the importance of qualified pool professionals.
Mr. Arredondo has also devoted significant time to industry leadership and advocacy. Within the Florida Swimming Pool Association's Tampa Bay Chapter, he served as vice president in 2018, president from 2019 through 2021, and director-at-large on the board of directors from 2022 through 2024. He is additionally affiliated with the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance and the National Tile Contractors Association.
Through these organizations, Mr. Arredondo has worked to promote higher standards of professionalism, education and accountability while supporting fellow contractors and helping strengthen the swimming pool industry throughout Florida.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in construction management from Provident University, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in biological sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His combination of construction education, scientific training, executive experience and decades of practical industry knowledge has provided him with a broad foundation for both technical and business leadership.
Mr. Arredondo has earned numerous professional certifications and credentials throughout his career, reflecting his commitment to continuing education and craftsmanship. Among them are Certified Pool Finish Technician credentials relating to pebble and quartz swimming pool finishes through the National Plasterers Council, executive management training through the Florida Swimming Pool Association, and professional swimming pool contractor credentials through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
At the center of Mr. Arredondo's professional philosophy is education. He believes contractors have a responsibility not simply to build or renovate swimming pools, but to guide clients through the process, establish realistic expectations and communicate openly throughout each stage of a project.
He credits much of his success to a philosophy of setting realistic expectations and then striving to exceed them. He also views himself as a consumer advocate within the swimming pool industry and has become increasingly focused on helping property owners understand licensing, contracts, construction practices and the importance of selecting qualified professionals.
Beyond his professional work, Mr. Arredondo is actively involved in charitable and community causes. He supports the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. His wife is an Executive Ambassador for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer with the American Cancer Society, making the organization's mission particularly meaningful to the Arredondo family.
Mr. Arredondo and West Shore Pools have also received numerous professional and community honors, including recognition in the Tampa Bay Times' Best of the Best awards in 2025 and Creative Loafing Tampa Bay's Best of the Bay recognition in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Born in Charleston into a military family, Mr. Arredondo spent much of his early life moving throughout the country. Tampa later became home, strengthened by his wife's deep family roots in the community. Her family history extends five generations in Ybor City, where her grandfather worked as a cigar roller and was an amateur boxer, and her grandmother worked as a seamstress. Their family history remains closely connected to Tampa's cultural heritage and can be found at the Tampa Bay History Center.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Arredondo values time with his wife, daughter and family and enjoys caring for their three rescue dogs.
Looking ahead, Mr. Arredondo is expanding his commitment to education through the development of Aquatic Advisory Group LLC, an initiative designed to help newly licensed swimming pool contractors transition from earning a contractor's license to successfully operating a professional contracting business.
Through Aquatic Advisory Group, he plans to provide education and guidance in areas including business operations, marketing, technology integration, project management, customer relations and company development. The organization will draw upon lessons from Mr. Arredondo's own successes and challenges to help the next generation of swimming pool professionals avoid common mistakes, strengthen their businesses and contribute to a more professional and sustainable industry.
For Mr. Arredondo, the next chapter of his career is not simply about building more swimming pools. It is about helping build a stronger swimming pool industry.
