CHAPIN, SC, October 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who has recognized Maron Isom for his professional accomplishments in automotive leadership and his work advancing marine safety technology.

With nearly four decades of experience in the automotive industry, Mr. Isom has built a career centered on leadership, customer service, and developing successful teams. He currently serves as General Manager of Hendrick GMC in Columbia, South Carolina, where he brings his extensive management experience and commitment to helping others succeed.

Beyond his automotive career, Mr. Isom is the founder of Sea Smart Safety Solutions, a company focused on bringing automated safety technology to recreational boating. His vision is straightforward: make boat safety automatic.

Sea Smart is developing the Marine Safety Automation Platform (MSAP™), designed to manage multiple onboard safety functions through a common marine safety control module. Its flagship application, AutoNav™, automatically activates a boat's navigation lights when environmental conditions require them, while preserving the operator's ability to control the lights manually.

Sea Smart LLC owns two issued U.S. patents related to marine safety technology, with two additional patent applications pending. The company is also developing additional safety applications, including systems designed to alert operators when boarding equipment remains deployed or an anchor is down.

AutoNav technology has already been demonstrated on the water, and Sea Smart continues to work toward integrating its safety automation platform with boat manufacturers and marine control systems.

Mr. Isom believes that marine safety technology should become increasingly proactive, much like the automatic safety features drivers have come to expect in modern automobiles. His goal is to help reduce reliance on operator memory while preserving the captain's control of the vessel.

Throughout his career, Mr. Isom has placed a strong emphasis on integrity, mentorship, and building lasting relationships. He credits much of his professional success to surrounding himself with talented people and maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement.

Looking ahead, he hopes to help establish automated marine safety technology as a standard feature in recreational boating, creating a safer experience for boaters and their families.
