SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ, October 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Pellegrino has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who in America for his achievements in law enforcement, entrepreneurship, mental wellness and resiliency training, real estate, authorship, and community service.
For Michael, success has never been defined solely by professional accomplishments, awards, or business ventures. It is measured by the relationships he has built, the lives he has touched, and his ability to help others find a way forward during life's most challenging moments.
A decorated 27-year law enforcement veteran, entrepreneur, author, speaker, and mental wellness and resiliency strategist, Michael has dedicated much of his life to helping people recognize that adversity does not have to determine their future. His guiding philosophy is simple: With the right mindset, preparation, tools, and support, a crisis can become an opportunity for growth.
That belief became the foundation of Resilient Minds On The Front Lines, Inc., an organization he founded in 2020.
Born from his firsthand experiences in law enforcement and his understanding of the emotional demands placed on those who serve others, Resilient Minds provides practical, research-informed mental wellness and resiliency education to first responders, military personnel, corporations, business leaders, families, and communities.
Throughout his police career, Michael encountered people facing unimaginable circumstances. He also experienced personal and professional adversity that challenged his own resilience and ultimately changed the direction of his life. Those experiences inspired him to find ways to help people prepare mentally and emotionally before a crisis occurs, rather than waiting until they are overwhelmed to seek support.
He describes this philosophy as the "pre-boom" approach, preparing the mind before life delivers its next unexpected challenge.
Today, Resilient Minds offers programs ranging from keynote presentations to immersive, multi-day educational experiences. Its curriculum addresses mental wellness, resiliency, leadership, communication, financial resiliency, spirituality, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), chaplain training, peer-to-peer support, and other essential aspects of personal and professional well-being.
Central to the organization's success is what Michael proudly calls the Resilient Minds Family.
The curriculum was developed through collaboration among dedicated doctors, clinicians, researchers, subject matter experts, and professionals who contributed their specialized knowledge and experience. Supported by a nationwide network of more than 70 trained facilitators, the organization continues to expand its reach while maintaining its commitment to practical, research-informed education.
Michael is quick to emphasize that Resilient Minds was never intended to be the work of one individual. He considers the collective contributions of its professionals, facilitators, and supporters essential to the organization's mission and growth.
What makes his approach distinctive is his perspective as a strategist grounded in lived experience.
Michael considers himself a lifelong student of human behavior, someone who has spent decades observing people, navigating difficult situations, learning from his own mistakes, and surrounding himself with professionals whose knowledge has helped shape his understanding of resilience.
His role is to help translate those lessons and research-informed principles into strategies people can understand, remember, and apply in everyday life.
"You don't need to be an expert to make an impact. You need a strategy, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to help others," Michael often shares.
His commitment to service began at just 19 years old when he entered law enforcement, beginning a distinguished 27-year career with the Ewing Police Department in New Jersey.
From 1994 to 2005, he served in the patrol division, responding to emergencies and working directly with individuals and families throughout the community. He later joined the traffic bureau, serving from 2005 to 2008, before becoming a school resource officer from 2008 to 2012.
His years working in schools were particularly meaningful. Through safety education, mentorship, and youth development programs, he built lasting relationships with students, educators, and families while helping strengthen trust between law enforcement and the community.
From 2012 to 2016, Michael served as a detective in the Youth and Family Services Bureau, handling sensitive investigations involving vulnerable individuals and families. He concluded his active police career as a community response detective from 2016 to 2019.
Throughout his service, he developed a reputation for his compassion, willingness to listen, and determination to help people find solutions during difficult circumstances.
Following his retirement from active police service in 2019, Michael was appointed Chief Resiliency Officer for Mercer County, New Jersey, continuing his work to advance mental wellness education within the law enforcement profession.
He has also served as a master resiliency trainer for the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), sharing practical strategies with law enforcement leaders and professionals.
His career reinforced a lesson that continues to influence his work today: Leadership is not simply about a title, authority, or professional knowledge. It is about earning trust, building relationships, listening to others, and understanding the responsibility that comes with influencing people's lives.
Michael's service has earned him numerous honors, including the Ewing Police Medal of Honor, the Carnegie Medal for heroism, and recognition as National Law Enforcement Officer of the Month in 2014 by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Although grateful for these distinctions, he considers the relationships developed throughout his career and the opportunities to help others among his most meaningful accomplishments.
His dedication to service has extended beyond law enforcement through involvement with the Police Unity Tour, Operation Dreamlift through the Sunshine Foundation, the Blue Mass Committee for the Diocese of Trenton, and Make Our Schools Safe, an organization committed to improving school safety and protecting children.
Alongside his public service career, Michael has pursued entrepreneurial opportunities in real estate, property investment, business management and advertising.
As a real estate professional with Epique Realty, he brings together his interests in relationship-building, financial wellness, personal development, and business growth. His activities include property investment and management, rental properties, and the development of new business concepts.
Across Michael's ventures, he applies the same principles that guide his resiliency work: preparation, discipline, adaptability, integrity, and the ability to recognize opportunities that others may overlook.
His educational background includes studies in fire science at Mercer County Community College, coursework at Caldwell College, now Caldwell University, and business education through the Martin School of Business in Philadelphia.
A 1992 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Michael subsequently completed his law enforcement training at the Trenton Police Academy. His professional development also includes certification as a John Maxwell life coach and public speaker in 2021, along with certifications as a DARE and GREAT instructor. Michael is also a Real Estate Agent in New Jersey and in Florida.
While he values formal education and professional training, he believes some of life's greatest lessons are learned through experience. The people he has encountered, the difficult decisions he has faced, and the mentors who challenged his thinking have all contributed to the person and leader he has become.
His desire to share those lessons led him to authorship and public speaking.
In 2023, Michael published Crisis = Opportunity: Finding Growth and Resilience in Challenging Times. Drawing from personal experiences and the principles that helped shape his life, the book encourages readers to examine adversity from a different perspective and recognize the influence they have over their responses to life's challenges.
In August 2026, he reached another important milestone when he delivered his TEDx talk in Cape May, New Jersey, titled "Mental CPR: The Power of the Pause." which he trademarked.
The presentation brought together decades of law enforcement experience, personal adversity, and lessons learned through his work in mental wellness. At its center was a practical message about the importance of creating space between an event and our response to it.
Through Mental CPR, Michael seeks to make mental wellness education accessible to people from every walk of life. His focus is not on complicated terminology but on practical strategies that can help individuals navigate challenges involving their health, relationships, careers, finances, and personal well-being.
One of the messages he frequently shares captures that philosophy:
"When you change your mind, you change your life."
Michael also serves as co-host of Voices of Resiliency, a podcast featuring meaningful conversations about leadership, adversity, personal growth, and the experiences that shape people's lives.
Through discussions with guests from diverse professional and personal backgrounds, the podcast encourages honest conversations, offers practical insights, and reminds listeners that they are not alone in the challenges they face. With an audience reaching tens of thousands of subscribers, the platform has become another avenue for sharing messages of hope, resilience, and personal responsibility.
Despite his accomplishments across several industries, Michael is especially grateful for the people who have stood beside him throughout his journey.
At the center of that support is his wife, Diana "Dee" Pellegrino, whose encouragement, partnership, and belief in their shared mission have played an important role in both their personal and professional lives.
Together, they have built businesses, navigated setbacks, made sacrifices, and invested their time and resources into initiatives they believe can make a meaningful difference.
Their shared passion for strengthening relationships has also led them to facilitate communication training for couples, helping life partners better understand one another, navigate difficult conversations, and develop healthier, more meaningful connections.
Michael also expresses deep appreciation for the doctors, clinicians, researchers, subject matter experts, facilitators, mentors, colleagues, business partners, friends, and family members who have contributed to his journey and the continued growth of Resilient Minds.
He believes that no meaningful accomplishment happens alone and that the strength of any organization is found in the people who share its purpose.
One of his favorite reminders is, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."
Looking ahead, Michael intends to expand the national and international reach of Resilient Minds On The Front Lines while continuing to develop Mental CPR as a practical approach to mental wellness and resiliency education.
His vision includes building stronger relationships with corporations, insurance organizations, first responder agencies, military communities, and business leaders who understand the value of preparing people before adversity strikes.
He also plans to expand his speaking career, bringing his message of resilience, preparation, leadership, and personal responsibility to audiences across industries.
Through his books, podcast, educational programs, and business ventures, Michael hopes to encourage people to take a more active role in their mental wellness and recognize that resilience is developed through consistent, intentional practice.
As he often reminds audiences, "It's daily, not in a day."
For Michael, the goal has never been simply to build a successful company, earn recognition, or establish a personal brand. His hope is that every person who attends a presentation, participates in a training program, reads his work, or shares a conversation with him walks away with something valuable.
Something they can use. Something they can share. Something that may help them or someone they love when life becomes difficult.
His journey from a young police officer to a decorated law enforcement veteran, entrepreneur, author, and mental wellness and resiliency strategist reflects a career shaped by service, perseverance, relationships, and a willingness to continue learning.
Through every chapter, his purpose has remained consistent: to help people become stronger, more prepared, and better equipped to face whatever life brings their way.
For Michael Pellegrino, resilience is not about avoiding life's storms. It is about preparing for them, learning from them, and understanding that even our most difficult experiences can create opportunities for growth.
And if the lessons learned throughout his journey can help even one person make a better decision, strengthen a relationship, or find hope during a difficult moment, he considers that a meaningful measure of success.
That is the legacy he hopes to leave.... not simply in the accomplishments associated with his name, but in the lives of those he has had the privilege to touch.
