After reading a book on professional real estate development by Richard Peiser, he became fascinated by the process of transforming concepts into completed buildings. Years later, he would enroll in an advanced management program at Harvard University led by Peiser himself, an experience that brought his origin story full circle.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shahbazyan's professional achievements have seen notable recognition. In 2025, Starlife Group was named among the top 100 real estate developers in the world by Luxury Lifestyle Awards, an honor he regards as his greatest professional milestone to date. He was also named the youngest developer in the city of Miami in 2025 by the Red Awards and received the Spirit of Joseph Young Award from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 2026. Additional accolades include awards for best mixed-use project, best luxury project and best builder in Florida.

Mr. Shahbazyan's academic background has played a pivotal role in shaping his career trajectory. He earned a Master of Arts in global affairs from Florida International University in Miami in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and national security studies at the same institution in 2015. His ongoing commitment to education is reflected in his completion of numerous executive programs across leading institutions nationwide.

In 2026, Mr. Shahbazyan graduated from Harvard University's Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at the Graduate School of Design, an accomplishment he considers his proudest personal achievement. The program focused on master planning entire cities; his cohort developed a master plan for Miami, portions of which may eventually be incorporated into the city itself.
