MANHATTAN BEACH, CA, October 27, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tina Patel has been recognized for achievement in finance and accounting.

Ms. Patel currently serves as vice president of finance at Playmates Toys Limited, a role she has held since 2022. Drawing on more than 35 years of expertise in accounting, business growth, entrepreneurship, capacity building, professional development, financial management, operational optimization, cost reduction, problem-solving, international business operations and succession planning, she has made a significant impact on the organization. At Playmates Toys Limited, Ms. Patel leads the core accounting group and the U.S. treasury operations while also directing the information technology group and overseeing day-to-day office management. She is responsible for ensuring timely quarter-end and month-end closes to meet strict reporting deadlines for Hong Kong headquarters. Under her leadership, the company's financial closing cycles have been reduced from 26 days to just seven, she has implemented succession planning, and she has transitioned the department to paperless workflows by introducing automation and eliminating outdated systems, processes, and procedures.

When Ms. Patel joined Playmates Toys Limited, she inherited a department with no staff or established practices. She built both the accounting and IT departments from the ground up, recruiting and training all personnel and implementing structured succession plans to ensure corporate continuity. Her efforts included hiring and training operational heads, then transitioning functions from accounting to operations. Recognizing the importance of modernization, she introduced robust cybersecurity protocols, upgraded platforms, led AI training initiatives and helped long-term employees adapt to new digital tools while respecting their established work methods. Ms. Patel's approach has transformed the company's finance and administrative functions into efficient, modernized operations that support both business continuity and growth.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Patel worked as an independent operations management consultant for Innovation Line in the Los Angeles metropolitan area from 2014 to 2022. In this capacity, she provided strategic guidance to this client seeking to streamline their operations and maximize cost savings by modernizing and implementing new technologies and processes. Her reputation as a problem-solver led many former clients to seek her assistance directly when facing operational challenges.

From 2001 to 2013, Ms. Patel was a founding co-member and the Global Director of Finance and Operations at Office Beacon LLC, with responsibilities spanning North America and Vadodara, India. She founded the company with just 20 employees and grew it to approximately 1,000 before stepping away from daily management. The organization now employs nearly 6,000 people across five countries. Ms. Patel eventually sold her interest in Office Beacon LLC through a complex transition but continues to assist clients who rely on her expertise to resolve issues efficiently.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Patel served as Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis at The Walt Disney Company in Burbank from 1999 to 2001. She managed financial and SEC reporting processes during a period of significant corporate activity for Disney. Before joining Disney, she was an audit manager at Deloitte Canada in the Greater Toronto Area from 1994 to 1999, where she honed her skills in audit oversight for diverse clients across multiple sectors.

Ms. Patel began her professional journey as an audit and tax staff member at Goldfarb, Shulman & Patel in Toronto from 1990 to 1994. This foundational experience provided her with a comprehensive understanding of public practice accounting that would inform her subsequent achievements.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Patel has maintained active memberships in several professional organizations, including the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). These affiliations reflect her commitment to ongoing professional development within the accounting field.

Ms. Patel's academic background includes earning a bachelor's degree in business with honors, specializing in accounting, from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, in 1993. She completed rigorous coursework at the School of Accountancy before successfully passing the professional examination required to become a chartered accountant (CA) in Canada — a designation later renamed chartered professional accountant (CPA) in 1994 through CPA Canada. This extensive educational foundation equipped her with advanced technical knowledge and analytical skills that have been instrumental throughout her career.

She credits much of her success not only to education but also to an innate ability to solve problems under pressure — describing herself as a "fixer." Rather than focusing on obstacles or setbacks, Ms. Patel analyzes each situation objectively and determines how best to move forward or navigate challenges as they arise. This mindset has enabled her to lead teams through periods of uncertainty and transformation while consistently delivering results.

Beyond her corporate accomplishments, Ms. Patel has demonstrated deep civic engagement throughout the Los Angeles region and beach cities communities. She is an active member of Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT/The WiT Foundation), which supports women across related industries worldwide. In September 2026, she received the Unsung Hero Award (Under 500 Employees) at the Wonder Women Awards presented by WiT at Paramount Studios — an honor recognizing her outstanding contributions among nominees with decades-long careers.

Her community involvement includes serving for five years as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Leadership Manhattan Beach from 2019 to 2024, where she contributed to civic projects and leadership programs focused on local government engagement. Additionally, Ms. Patel served on the Associate Board of Walk with Sally. She acted as an ancillary fundraiser for Michael's Learning Center while chairing fundraising initiatives at her children's school for several years. Through these efforts, she helped secure resources for new facilities, such as computer rooms, and for science equipment, including a 3D printer and electric car kits for students.

Ms. Patel's fundraising activities have benefited numerous charities throughout Los Angeles' beach cities region by connecting individuals with the resources they need for organizational or personal support. Her ability to foster relationships within the community remains one of her most valued achievements.

On a personal level, Ms. Patel is the mother of one son and two daughters who are now preparing to assume greater responsibility within Office Beacon LLC — the company she founded and expanded internationally before selling her interest but continuing as an advisor when needed by clients or family members alike. She is dedicated to equipping them with skills necessary for future leadership roles while ensuring Playmates Toys Limited is positioned for continued success under its current ownership structure.

Ms. Patel is currently writing a memoir that chronicles her journey from a childhood in India to immigrating to Canada, where she spoke no English until age seven. Her path eventually led her to Los Angeles, where she built global businesses and raised three children amid profound personal challenges. The working title reflects her philosophy that having something is better than nothing at all.

Looking ahead, Ms. Patel remains focused on succession planning both within Office Beacon LLC for her children's future leadership roles and at Playmates Toys Limited, where she continues implementing processes designed for long-term stability under its next generation of ownership. Her legacy is defined by resilience, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to helping others succeed — qualities that have earned her recognition as both an industry leader and trusted community partner.
