MARYVILLE, TN, October 27, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Brad Kimsey has been recognized for achievement in financial services.

Mr. Kimsey's professional journey reflects a steadfast commitment to client service and relationship management within the financial sector. Since April 2024, he has served as a client relationship manager and financial adviser assistant at LaVoi Financial Group/Northwestern Mutual. In this capacity, Mr. Kimsey is responsible for reviewing emails and prioritizing urgent applications, underwriting requests and time-sensitive tasks. He processes new account openings, submits applications for client signatures, monitors payments and follows up on overdue or missed balances.

In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Kimsey generates and distributes weekly payment reports to financial advisers, contacts clients to resolve payment issues, addresses underwriting inquiries and coordinates daily administrative and financial operations to ensure efficient workflows. Scheduling meetings and sending reminders to clients and advisers are also among his duties.

Before joining LaVoi Financial Group/Northwestern Mutual, Mr. Kimsey spent five years at Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union from 2019 to 2024. His decision to transition into this role followed an extensive tenure at ORNL Federal Credit Union, where he began his career in banking in 2004.

Initially hired part-time, Mr. Kimsey's diverse skill set quickly garnered the attention of management, resulting in rapid advancement from part-time to full-time status and ultimately to head teller within the same year. This accomplishment remains one of his proudest achievements. During his years at ORNL Federal Credit Union, he built a reputation for fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike, and his contributions earned him achievement awards from the credit union as well as other honors within the banking industry.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kimsey gained valuable retail experience at Rack Room Shoes. Starting as a part-time employee, he transitioned to full-time work and advanced into managerial roles, including manager and assistant manager positions. These early experiences provided him with foundational leadership skills that would later support his success in the financial industry.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kimsey has been recognized for his expertise in client relationships. He is known for his ability to engage with individuals from all backgrounds, often remarking that he could "talk to a fence post." His approach centers on listening carefully to clients' needs and providing tailored solutions that address their unique challenges.

Mr. Kimsey is a graduate of high school in Maryville, Tennessee. Although he completed some college coursework, he chose to begin his banking career rather than finish a degree program, a decision that allowed him to build his expertise directly in the field. His professional development was strengthened by on-site training programs that equipped him with practical skills essential to success in banking. He also holds certification as a notary public.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Kimsey credits his mother as his main role model and draws inspiration from his grandmother's career in banking. A dedicated math teacher, Mark Rowland, also made a lasting impact by helping him overcome academic challenges related to dyslexia and encouraging him to focus on his strengths.

Mr. Kimsey is dedicated to helping individuals overcome their obstacles. He stresses the importance of taking the time to understand each person's unique situation and reassures clients that, even when their circumstances do not match their hopes, solutions exist. His approach centers on providing hope and support, letting people know that improvements can be made and that a better outcome is within reach.

Support from colleagues has been instrumental throughout Mr. Kimsey's career transitions. He expresses gratitude for the encouragement received from his managers. While he occasionally misses the daily interactions with clients that characterized his earlier roles at credit unions, he continues to maintain meaningful connections through phone conversations and other forms of communication.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Kimsey is civically engaged through ongoing support of organizations such as the Humane Society and the Down Syndrome Awareness Group. His family owns Kimsey Entertainment, a DJ company that has operated for 10 years and frequently participates in events benefiting these organizations in downtown Knoxville near the Sunsphere. Although Mr. Kimsey does not manage day-to-day operations because of his commitments at Northwestern Mutual, he regularly assists with banking and financial matters as needed.

In his personal life, Mr. Kimsey values time spent with family — including his parents, older brother and two nieces — enjoys cooking and appreciates being outdoors in the woods around Maryville. Looking ahead, he aspires to travel to Ireland.
