WAYNE, NJ, October 27, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marianne Lennon, RN, BSN, MA, CCRN, has been recognized for achievement in healthcare.
Ms. Lennon currently serves as director of nursing at Assisting Hands Home Care, LLC, where she has demonstrated exceptional expertise in home care nursing since 2023. In this capacity, she manages all nursing-related aspects of the agency's operations, supervises caregivers during home visits, provides education to both clients and caregivers, and addresses medical questions from families and office staff. Her commitment to patient advocacy is evident in her approach to upholding patients' autonomy and supporting families through complex decisions, particularly regarding end-of-life care. Ms. Lennon's dedication to compassionate care extends beyond the patient to include their loved ones, ensuring that both receive the guidance and support they need.
Three years ago, Ms. Lennon played a pivotal role in establishing the Maywood, New Jersey branch of Assisting Hands Home Care, LLC. A little over a year ago, she was selected to launch the agency's newest location in Kinnelon, New Jersey, further expanding her impact within the organization. Prior to her current position, she contributed to another Assisting Hands agency until its closure in 2017 following the owner's passing. Throughout her tenure with these agencies, Ms. Lennon has maintained a reputation for reliability and unwavering dedication, often working around the clock to fulfill her responsibilities.
Before transitioning into home care leadership roles, Ms. Lennon devoted most of her professional life to serving as an intensive care unit nurse beginning in 1982. Her experience on the front lines of critical care shaped her philosophy that nursing is fundamentally about compassion and feeling. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she faced some of the most challenging moments of her career, supporting patients and colleagues through unprecedented hardship. She became known for guiding younger nurses through emotionally taxing situations, emphasizing that compassion must remain at the heart of nursing practice.
Ms. Lennon's career achievements are complemented by her active membership in the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. As a recognized expert in home care nursing, she continues to set high standards for herself and those around her.
Her educational background includes a Master of Arts in health education from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a focus on health education in Cedar Rapids Iowa. These academic accomplishments have provided a strong foundation for her success as both a clinician and leader in healthcare settings. Ms. Lennon holds certification as a registered nurse and is credentialed as a critical care registered nurse through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
The resilience that defines Ms. Lennon's approach to life and work was inspired by her mother, a breast cancer survivor who raised her children while confronting significant challenges. From her mother, Ms. Lennon inherited determination and an unwavering refusal to give up — qualities that have distinguished her throughout her career and continue to influence her leadership style.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Lennon dedicated approximately 10 years to volunteering with the Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Squad. Her service was recognized with the Rookie of the Year award during her tenure with the squad. After a decade of active involvement, she attained exempt status, allowing her to maintain membership privileges while stepping back from mandatory emergency shifts.
Born in Lyndhurst, Ms. Lennon finds joy outside of work by spending time with her dog — whom she affectionately calls her four-legged child — and by engaging in crafting activities such as cross-stitching and diamond painting. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue contributing to home care for as long as she is able, remaining committed to making a difference in the lives of those she serves.
