LAFAYETTE, LA, October 28, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Jesse White has been recognized for achievement in underwater construction, pipeline and platform abandonment.

Mr. White's professional journey is distinguished by his expertise in underwater construction and pipeline and platform abandonment, fields in which he has demonstrated exceptional skill and leadership. Since 2026, he has served as a saturation diving supervisor with Champagne Energy Solutions, where his responsibilities include conducting safety meetings, performing job safety analyses, managing time tickets, maintaining the daily log of activities, supervising both the dive and deck operations, and mixing breathing gas on the fly to ensure diver safety. His role requires precise mathematical calculations to create accurate gas mixtures at the panel, underscoring the critical importance of technical knowledge in his daily work. Mr. White likens his position to conducting an orchestra, coordinating numerous moving parts above and below the waterline.

Additionally, since 2022, Mr. White has held the position of supervisor and diver I at Helix Alliance, formerly Triton Offshore LLC. In this capacity, he continues to oversee complex diving operations while contributing to the company's reputation for safety and efficiency in offshore projects. From 2020 to 2022, he was a supervisor and diver I with Crowley, further expanding his experience in managing teams and executing challenging underwater assignments.

Earlier in his career, from 2016 to 2020, Mr. White worked as an IMCA bell and surface diver I with Team Trident. During this period, he honed his technical abilities in both bell and surface-supplied diving systems. In 2016, he also gained experience as an IMCA surface-supplied and bell diver I while working as a freelancer, demonstrating adaptability across a variety of project environments.

From 2004 to 2015, Mr. White served as an IMCA bell and surface diver I at Cal Dive International. His tenure at this organization was marked by honorable mentions recognizing his contributions to diving operations. Before embarking on his civilian diving career, Mr. White served in the United States Army from 1992 to 1999, achieving the rank of sergeant. His military service was recognized with several commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Throughout his career, Mr. White has been most proud of training divers and witnessing the transfer of knowledge across generations within the industry. He recalls a moment when a newly qualified diver repeated advice that Mr. White had given to another diver a decade earlier — evidence that his teachings continue to shape safe practices among new professionals. For Mr. White, ensuring that knowledge is not lost but instead passed on is vital due to changes in industry practices over recent years. He prioritizes people over tasks and emphasizes trust within his crews, never asking anyone to perform duties he would not undertake himself.

His commitment to excellence is reflected in memberships with the Association of Diving Contractors International and the International Marine Contractors Association. These affiliations underscore his dedication to upholding industry standards and advancing professional development within underwater construction.

Mr. White's educational foundation was established at Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle, where he graduated in 2003. The journey through dive school was marked by perseverance; he enrolled with only $100 remaining for the entrance fee and lived out of his car until Doris Brunner offered him a place to stay free of charge during his studies. He credits much of his success to God's grace and forgiveness, believing that divine favor has guided every step of his path. Support from family — including his parents, stepfather and those who believed in him — also played a crucial role during formative years.

He holds several certifications that have been instrumental throughout his career: closed-bell diver and closed-bell supervisor from both the Association of Diving Contractors International and the International Marine Contractors Association, diver medical technician, and nationally registered emergency medical technician credentials. These qualifications have enabled him to manage complex technical challenges inherent in deep-sea operations while ensuring safety for all involved.

Recognition for Mr. White's achievements includes honorable mentions from Cal Dive International and multiple military awards earned during his service in the United States Army.

Born in Fairfield, California, but raised in a small farm town in Illinois, Mr. White values hard work and persistence — principles that have shaped both his personal life and professional outlook. He is married to Heather; together, they have blended their families over ten years of partnership and seven years of marriage. Their four teenagers are pursuing diverse interests ranging from culinary arts to dentistry and digital media.

Outside of work, Mr. White enjoys building things from the ground up around the house, organizing projects, traveling with Heather to historical sites or new destinations, learning about other cultures through food experiences, fishing and scuba diving alongside his wife.

Looking ahead at Champagne Energy Solutions, Mr. White aspires to advance to the role of diving superintendent — a step for which he is actively being prepared by current leadership, who recognize his capabilities and dedication.

Through unwavering faith in God's guidance and a steadfast commitment to safety and knowledge-sharing in his field, Mr. White continues to leave a lasting impact on underwater construction while inspiring those who follow in his footsteps.
