FLANDERS, NJ, November 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gregory W. Stewart has been recognized for achievement in management consulting, having led his firm in providing hands-on guidance to business owners and senior managers for improved professional management, business operations and financial performance within their industries for over two decades. Mr. Stewart's professional journey reflects a remarkable commitment to operational excellence, business leadership and client-focused advisory work.
Most recently, Mr. Stewart served as the co-founder and principal of NexGen Management in Mount Olive, New Jersey, from 2003 to 2025. Over the course of his career in this capacity, he built a reputation for providing hands-on guidance to business owners and managers. His approach began with a thorough operational assessment, using a detailed questionnaire that prompted clients to evaluate each area of their business. This process allowed Mr. Stewart to prioritize operational gaps, present tailored improvement options and refer clients to specialist experts when needed. By leveraging an extensive professional referral network, he advised business owners on strategic planning and exit strategies, always emphasizing the importance of running a business proactively rather than reactively.
Throughout his tenure at NexGen Management, Mr. Stewart's expertise in operations management, sales, people management and performance development set him apart in the industry. He was known for encouraging clients to recognize their strengths and bring in outside expertise for areas beyond their own capabilities. He maintained strong relationships with competitors and frequently partnered with and recommended other specialists when appropriate, reinforcing his belief that collaboration leads to better outcomes for all involved. All of Mr. Stewart's business came through referrals, a testament to his integrity and the trust he built within his network. As his partners retired or moved on, he transitioned from working with Fortune 500 clients to focusing on small and mid-sized businesses as a solo practitioner.
Before founding NexGen Management, Mr. Stewart dedicated over 30 years to AT&T and New Jersey Bell, where he steadily advanced through roles of increasing responsibility. After beginning his career as a cable splicer and repair technician following high school graduation, he moved into sales and marketing while attending college at night. The breakup of the Bell System in 1984 marked a pivotal moment, leading to Mr. Stewart joining AT&T and ultimately serving as global operations manager for five years prior to his departure in 2003. In this capacity, he managed communication data services for Fortune 500 clients worldwide, overseeing operations across Asia Pacific and Western Europe from offices in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Atlanta and San Diego, with additional coordination from London and Singapore.
Mr. Stewart's academic background provided a strong foundation for his career accomplishments. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey, in 1981 while working full-time at New Jersey Bell. He later completed a Master of Business Administration in 2012, further enhancing his ability to lead complex organizations and advise clients effectively. In addition to formal education, Mr. Stewart holds a certified senior business adviser credential through both the Independent Business Alliance and the Institute for Independent Business.
Actively engaged with professional organizations, Mr. Stewart most notably served as a chapter president for the International Institute for Business Advisors. He has also been an invited speaker at various professional conferences and business workshops throughout his career.
Mr. Stewart's deep commitment to civic engagement has defined much of his life outside of direct business pursuits, including his longstanding membership in both the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, where he served as president for four years. Since 2009, he has served as a board member and as the vice president at Essex Catholic High School Foundation Inc. Since 2010, he has been active on the board for the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health, and has chaired the annual business food drive for MO Community Food Pantry. Furthermore, Mr. Stewart has been a board member of the Morris County Park Alliance under the Morris County Park Commission since 2020. Previously, he served in board positions with the Leadership Morris Alumni Council (now LEAD Morris Alumni Council).
In addition to his corporate achievements, Mr. Stewart contributed significantly to public service as a member of the council for Mount Olive Township from 2014 to 2025. His civic leadership extended further through involvement with the township council during multiple terms between 2014 and 2021, as well as participation on the economic development committee for Mount Olive Township and the Morris County Economic Corporation within the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Stewart's creative contributions included serving as a contributing author for "Breakthrough RESULTS!: Tips, Tricks and Techniques from Today's Experts For You and Your Business," published in 2016. The book became an Amazon bestseller upon release, with Mr. Stewart collaborating with nine other experts, each contributing chapters based on their specialties.
Recognized through numerous honors, Mr. Stewart received a Good Scout Award from Scouting America Patriots' Path Council in 2018. That same year, he was inducted into the Senior Hall of Fame in Hackettstown, New Jersey, in 2018. Mr. Stewart was named Business Person of the Year by the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, honored in the Essex Catholic High School Alumni Hall of Fame, and in 2024 recognized as Business Person of the Year with the Shining the Light Program, the foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center's annual fall social fundraiser. Other accolades have included a Senior Citizen Award from Congressman Tom Kean Jr. and recognition from his local fire department for volunteer contributions.
Looking ahead, Mr. Stewart intends to remain active through volunteerism, neighborhood activities and ongoing mentorship within his professional network while maintaining close relationships with family members. His legacy is defined by decades of leadership across corporate management, entrepreneurship and civic service, always guided by integrity, collaboration and an unwavering commitment to helping others achieve their best potential both personally and professionally.
