EMORY, TX, November 05, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jay Ford has been recognized for his expertise and achievements in third-party logistics, reverse logistics and supply chain management.
Mr. Ford has established himself as a leader in third-party logistics, reverse logistics and supply chain management, earning recognition for his expertise and innovative contributions to the field. As Chief Executive Officer of Premier LogiTech in Coppell, Texas, since 2026, he oversees operations, customer relationships, financial performance, employee development and facility management. Additionally, he serves on the company's Board of Directors alongside the company's private equity owners. His leadership at Premier LogiTech is marked by a commitment to building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of strong execution.
Prior to joining Premier LogiTech, Mr. Ford served as Senior Executive Adviser to the Postmaster General at the United States Postal Service in Washington, District of Columbia, from 2024 to 2025. In this capacity, he advised on implementing the Delivering for America transformation plan.
Before his tenure at the United States Postal Service, Mr. Ford held several senior roles at GXO Logistics, Inc., including Senior Vice President of Enterprise Management from 2023 to 2024, Division President from 2021 to 2023, and Senior Vice President of Operations in 2021. His earlier experience at XPO Logistics, Inc. included serving as Senior Vice President of Operations from 2018 to 2021 and as Vice President of Operations from 2017 to 2018.
From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Ford was Vice President of Reverse Logistics and Repair at Ingram Micro Mobility. He also served as Executive Director of Business Processes at Ingram Micro Mobility in Plainfield, Indiana, in 2014. During his time at New Breed Logistics in Fort Worth, Texas, from 2010 to 2014 as Executive Director of Operations, he achieved significant improvements by cutting work-in-process by 94%, reducing cycle time by 65% and improving efficiency by 60%.
Among Mr. Ford's most notable accomplishments is implementing what he believes was the first truly automated reverse logistics facility for mobile devices in the United States. When he assumed responsibility for the operation around 2010, every test, cosmetic grade and storage step was performed manually despite handling between 65,000 and 75,000 devices daily. By the end of his tenure, devices were processed through automated charging, functional testing, cleaning, grading and storage. Robotic arms moved products, and packed devices into cases, which robots then palletized and wrapped, with order fulfillment also automated.
Mr. Ford's earlier roles include serving as Senior Director of Logistics at CEVA Logistics from 2006 to 2010 and as Manager of the National Customer Support Center at Exel from 2004 to 2006. As Director of Power Systems Global Logistics at Tyco Electronics from 2000 to 2002, he redesigned the company's global logistics operation responsible for more than 5,000 shipments daily across five distribution centers. Previously, he was Director of Quality and Reengineering at Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. from 1996 to 1999.
Mr. Ford began his career with AT&T in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1985 after being recruited as one of five new college graduates selected for the company's Leadership Continuity Program. This program provided him with rotational assignments in Oklahoma City, New Jersey's corporate training center, and Dallas that accelerated his professional development within the organization.
Educationally, Mr. Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, cum laude, from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana in 1984. He later completed coursework through the executive education program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in California in 2015. He is certified in production and inventory management by the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
Reflecting on his career progression across multiple organizations and roles, Mr. Ford attributes his success to working with exceptionally talented people who have enabled him to build cohesive teams united by shared goals and strategies. He considers every achievement a collective effort rather than an individual accomplishment.
A supporter of Rains Independent School District programs and an active community volunteer in Rains County, Texas, Mr. Ford is committed to civic engagement beyond his professional responsibilities. In March 2026, he ran for Rains County Judge because he believed business experience could benefit local government, although he lost the primary by a narrow margin of 212 votes to the incumbent; he regards the campaign as one of his most rewarding experiences and continues to provide support and assistance throughout the county.
Born in Ringgold and raised on a farm in Louisiana, Mr. Ford's early life instilled values that continue to influence his approach today. In 2018, he and his wife purchased a small farm in Rains County where they raise cattle and horses while growing and selling hay — activities that reflect their enjoyment of country life. The farm serves as their primary residence while Mr. Ford commutes to Coppell for his role at Premier LogiTech.
Looking ahead, Mr. Ford intends to build Premier LogiTech into a truly premier organization recognized for high-performing teams, strong execution, customer engagement and profitability while passing on knowledge to future leaders within the industry so they can learn from both successes and challenges encountered along his journey.
