With more than 50 years of professional experience, Dr. Taylor excels in teaching. Aside from overseeing the special education department, his responsibilities include advising students and heading research projects. He became involved in his profession because of his love for education and the desire to share his knowledge with others. He has published more than 25 professional articles and considers it to be the highlight of his career. He attributes his success to his dedication and commitment.

Dr. Taylor received his Ph.D. in Special Education and Education Psychology from The Catholic University of America in 1969, a Master's Degree from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor's Degree from Fayetteville State University. He is a member with the Council for Exceptional Children, the Maryland Association for Higher Education and the Maryland Advisory Board for Special Education.
