/24-7PressRelease/ - Destin, FL, July 26, 2008, Linda G. Buckland, Clinical Mental Health Counselor for the Emerald Coast Counseling Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of psychological counseling.

With more than 38 years of professional experience, Ms. Buckland specializes in counseling children and adults suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her responsibilities include counseling individuals, families and couples, reporting, public speaking, and conducting workshops for stress management, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. Ms. Buckland previously worked as a supervisor for Run-Away Shelter for four years, a vocational rehabilitation counselor for three years, volunteered at a military base in North Dakota and taught as an adjunct professor at Minot State University.

Ms. Buckland considers receiving the 2002 Mental Health Professional of the Year Award from the Mental Health Association of Okaloosa of Walton Counties to be the highlight of her career and attributes her success to her education, experience and love for her profession. She stays current with the trends in her profession by enrolling in continuing education courses and researching.

A certified clinical mental health counselor, Ms. Buckland received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University in 1976 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Kentucky in 1969. She is affiliated with the Florida Mental Health Counselor Association, the American Counseling Association, the American Mental Health Counselors Association and Mental Health America. She hopes to one day write a book and work as an adjunct professor at a junior college level.
