Rock Band Creates Music Video to Bring Awareness to Child Sex Trafficking

The Wrecking sees their music as a vehicle to bring awareness to the horrible practice of child slavery.

/24-7PressRelease/ - NASHVILLE, TN, July 31, 2008 — Gearing up for their national debut CD in late August, Chosen/Executive/Universal Music band The Wrecking is releasing the music video, "In Your Eyes," a remake of the Peter Gabriel hit. The video was produced in conjunction with Love 146, a non-profit organization dedicated to the abolition of child sex trafficking and exploitation.

"The Wrecking has long been an advocate for child survivors of sex-trafficking," says Andrew Zsigmond, Artist Coalition Leader for Love146. "Now, with the production of their video, the band and Love146 will portray a story of hope and joy at the restoration of these children. The band is a key player in the Love146 Artist Coalition, using their voices on behalf of the voiceless."

Directed by Jeff Kubach, known for his work on the hit tv series "Survivor," the video will coincide with the release of the band's new CD entitled, A NEW ABOLITION, set for release August 19 via Universal Music Distribution. The Wrecking has already signed a licensing agreement with the MTV Network for the songs from A NEW ABOLITION to be placed on various shows and networks such as MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, Spike tv, among others.

Another non-profit, Child Voice International, has chosen the song "Sights & Sounds" from A NEW ABOLITION to use in their public awareness campaign. ChildVoice International is a global non-governmental organization that restores the voices of children silenced by war by raising awareness; promoting research; and creating effective, sustainable interventions. ChildVoice works in war-torn countries with local non-government organizations to assist children of war, restoring the voices of children who have been silenced by the horrors they have experienced. The children served by ChildVoice International and partnering grassroots NGOs include former child soldiers, children orphaned by war, and those left destitute by rebel activity.

In addition to partnering with Love 146, The Wrecking also works with International Justice Mission, a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
