Film Wins Award And Television Series Concepts Are Optioned

    /24-7PressRelease/ - May 27, 2005 - Oriana East Productions is pleased to announce that our edgy murder-mystery film The Victim won the award for Best Professional Narrative Short Film at the recent 8th Annual George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. Written by Will Mullins and co-produced by Will Mullins and Jennifer Goodman, The Victim also screened at The Midwest Entertainment Industry Conference. We anticipate further screenings in the fall, particularly for our horror projects Nora and Lucy's Brethren. Also, footage we shot of the fire talent group Creative Flame has been selected for use in an upcoming History Channel documentary about Dragons.

We are also happy to announce that two television series concepts co-created by Will Mullins and Jennifer Goodman are under option to two separate West Coast production companies. One is a career oriented reality series called So You Want To Make A Movie that follows teams of filmmakers as they compete for cast, crew, and equipment in an effort to shoot the best film and win guaranteed representation and a cash prize. The other is an action-drama called Carver's Cliffhangers that follows the exploits of the mysterious lead character Carver as he engages in espionage, diffuses threats to domestic security, and investigates paranormal phenomena.

Carver's Cliffhangers involves both the supernatural element and the sex appeal that networks are currently seeking. Three series created by screenwriter Will Mullins also fit the same creative bill. They are Sterling, Vine, and The Manor.
