Capone's Fortress West — The Secrets of Al Capone's West Coast Hideaway to Be Revealed

Producer/Writer John Walton Invites the Public to Two Bunch Palms Resort and Spa in Desert Hot Springs, CA on September 4th to Launch his Latest Novel "Capone's 'Fortress West'"

/24-7PressRelease/ - Desert Hot Springs, CA, August 9, 2008, Al Capone, one of the most notorious gangsters of the 20th century, remains an intriguing figure in American culture. Lesser known, but likely more revealing, is the information John Walton has put together in his new book, "Capone's 'Fortress West.'" Fulfilling a promise to his step-grandfather, John reveals "Daddy Joe's" harrowing experiences bootlegging for Al Capone, all for the love of his wife, Ida, Gladys Walton's mother. Gladys Walton, Silent Film Star, sacrificed her Universal Studio career for her ten-year love affair with Al Capone. A love-affair resulting in the birth of John Walton, Al Capone's illegitimate son. At the book launch, John will also detail his search for the secret tunnels Capone is reputed to have dug beneath Two Bunch Palms, his West Coast hideaway.

John's list of confirmed attendees for the book launch already numbers in the hundreds, but he still wants to get the word out that everyone is invited and reservations are not required.

John will lead presentations at 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Capone's BBQ Patio.

Leilani King, John's "storyteller", will be at the event and looks forward to discussing how much she enjoyed bringing "Daddy Joe", Prohibition, and the Roaring 20's to life for readers. "Capone's 'Fortress West'" is a mixture of fiction and fact, based on the many colorful and fascinating stories John told Leilani in his typical vibrant and lively style. The stories he wanted told. Showmanship inherited from his mother, no doubt about it!
