Newman, Professor of Nursing at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences School of Nursing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing education.

With more than 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Newman specializes in nursing education, conceptual nursing models research and curriculum development. As a professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences School of Nursing, she is responsible for teaching conceptual and theoretical frameworks. A recipient of the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching, Dr. Newman attributes her success to her determination and faith in God, and to the support she receives from the people around her.

Dr. Newman earned her Doctorate in Nursing Education from Teachers College Columbia University in 1981, her Master's Degree in Parent-Child Nursing and Education from New York University, and her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Boston College (now Connell School of Nursing) in 1963. At present, she is the president of the Nursing Education Alumni Association of the Teachers College Columbia University, an advisor for the National Student Nurses' Association, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Roy Adaptation Association, and the American Nurses Association. She is an avid supporter of various pro-life organizations. Her plans for the future include venturing into consulting.
