/24-7PressRelease/ - SANTA FE, NM, June 23, 2005 -- Aaron "Rocket" Robbins is a powerhouse of ingenuity. With a true entrepreneurial spirit, 13-year-old Aaron is not shy about contacting companies, negotiating agreements and bringing new products to the BMX (Bicycle Motor Cross) circuit in Massachusetts. The young BMXer from Brockton saw a need and an opportunity when he contacted SnowPack, a manufacturer of ice therapy products.

Crashes and injuries are a part of the BMX sport. Aaron and his Vintage BMX/Supercross teammates, Cory Cronin (Captain, age 17) and Andy Goodman (age 15), were used to "making-do" when it came to treating bumps, bruises and road rash. "Usually we have a few injuries just at practice that will require some icing down," says Aaron, the team's Sponsorship Liaison. "There is a first aid person at the track, but we use our own ice out of coolers when it's just the matter of icing an injury. The main race starts and then there are more lumps and bumps. We have our share of bruises and strains, and fighting with ice in a bread wrapper to put on an injury is tough. While doing a Google search of items that may be useful to BMX riders, we came across SnowPack. My team knew this would be a solution for all BMX riders."

Aaron contacted SnowPack in March with an unusual proposition: to demo SnowPack Body-n-Ice Kits to other BMXers at their events. Marketing Manager Louise Roach explained: "At first we were surprised by his email. We had never received a request like this from someone so young! But Aaron's determination and entrepreneurship really impressed us. By June we had negotiated an agreement with the team and sent them two of our ice kits, handouts and a banner. We also gave them a way to earn money through online sales. Every time someone buys a SnowPack Body-n-Ice Kit through our online store using the code "BMX", the team earns a commission on the sale."

After receiving different SnowPack products to try out, Aaron recently told SnowPack "With the hot weather here in New England, the Vintage BMX/Supercross Team all grab a SnowPack after the third Moto (race) to cool down. Our SnowPack Team Kit has plenty of SnowPacks for injury cool-down and just plain cool-down, so refreshing..."

SnowPack nontoxic, reusable ice packs feel just like real ice without the mess or bother. SnowPack stays cold for 2+ hours and comes with a specially designed all-body-fit cover. The SnowPack Body-n-Ice Kits keep SnowPack icy cool for up to seven hours and are easy to take along to events such as treating wipeouts at all-day BMX races!

Ms. Roach adds, "I was also thrilled when I found out that Aaron is an entrepreneur with a heart. He was the top fund raiser nationwide in 2004 for the Race For Life annual event sponsored by the American Bicycle Association to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Aaron actually raised $5,092 last year in pledges and is well on his way to being at the top again this year! Also, Cory, Andy and Aaron team-up to lend their support to The National Children's Cancer Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and The National Kidney Foundation through various events."

Watch out Donald Trump - in a few years entrepreneur Aaron "Rocket" Robbins may be knocking on your door!
