Effe Leven Gallery invites artists to submit their work for an opportunity to exhibit in the gallery. The gallery offers free wall space to emerging artists, students and hobbyists. Effe Leven also features an online gallery, managed by a digital curator. Located in Chicago's River North district.

/24-7PressRelease/ - CHICAGO, IL, September 18, 2008 - The Effe Leven Gallery announced today an invitation to emerging artists for exhibition submission. Located in the upscale River North art district of Chicago, Effe Leven is unique to other galleries in that it offers exhibition space to amateur artists, students and hobbyists free of charge.

"Being that we're new to the Chicago arts community, we'd like to take the opportunity to stand apart from galleries that have long been established in this area," said gallery director Anthony Moya. "We're proud to offer free wall space to those that wouldn't otherwise have access to many of the galleries in River North."

Comprised of nearly 70 arts and antiques galleries, River North is one of Chicago's oldest and most historical districts. It boasts the largest concentration of galleries outside of Manhattan, and attracts collectors and admirers from all over the world.

The Effe Leven Gallery was opened in July 2008 and is currently exhibiting its third major monthly collection of works by Chicago's professional and emerging artist community. One of the gallery's more unique features is its capacity to exhibit nearly 50 artists at a time. "Most galleries tend to focus on three to five artists at a time," Moya said. "Our gallery allows for a more eclectic feel and broader presentation of both artists and scope of work."

Moya and a team of curators work together to review and display the work of not only local artists and photographers, but national submitters as well. "We welcome online submissions from artists all over the country," Moya said. "We're also currently forming our online gallery, which will display digital work from around the world and is managed by our digital gallery curator. We want to remain on the cutting edge of exhibition technology while upholding the high standard of artistry that has brought renown to River North."

Upcoming exhibits at the Effe Leven gallery include "Architecture" in the month of October and "Creative Abstract" in November. The public is welcome to attend the opening of the "Architecture" exhibit on Friday, October 3 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

The Effe Leven Gallery is located at 213 W. Institute Place, Suite 401, Chicago, IL 60610. For more information, call (312) 643-5444 or visit the website at www.effelevengallery.com.
