DAYTON, OH, October 5, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robin Moore-Cooper, Assistant Bureau Director, Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of educational administration.
Dr. Moore-Cooper has 25 years of combined professional experience as educational administrator in academia and recent rehabilitation administrator with the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission. As Assistant Bureau Director for the Bureaus of Services for the Visually Impaired and Vocational Rehabilitation, she assumes statewide purview of rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities, including post-secondary transition.
In 2006, Dr. Moore-Cooper received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Education with a specialty in Rehabilitation Services and cognate area in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. She graduated from Wright State University with a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, with a Concentration in Severe Disabilities in 1990, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wright State University in 1985.
Dr. Moore-Cooper has been an avid civic leader as past gubernatorial appointee to Chair of Ohio Governor's Council on People with Disabilities, and a state senate president appointee as an Ohio Legal Rights Service Commissioner.
Most recent, the Quality Education for Minorities (OEM) Network in Washington, D.C., invited Dr. Moore-Cooper as a consultant to partake in a two-day workshop in October to assist minority-serving institutions wishing to develop stellar proposals to pursue National Science Foundation's Research in Disabilities Education Program.
