East Orange, NJ, October 25, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Harvin T. Dash, Executive Director of Administration for East Orange Community Charter School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education administration.

With 29 years of professional experience, three of which have been in his current position, Mr. Dash's expertise lies in maintaining administrative order within the different departments of the school. He is responsible for budgeting, coordinating before and after school programs, reporting to the board of trustees, and overseeing daily operations of the medical, transportation and all other facilities associated with the school. Following in the footsteps of his parents, his father was a principal and his mother was a teacher, Mr. Dash decided to pursue a career in education. He is a recipient of the Entering the College Zone Award for his continuous support from the New Jersey Black Child Development Institute in 2004 and the Staff Member of the Year Award from Community Access Unlimited in 1987. According to Mr. Dash, his success and drive is fueled by the constant support he receives from his wife, his children and his parents.

Mr. Dash is pursuing his Master of Education in Educational Leadership at the College of Saint Elizabeth and received his Master's Degree in Education from Trinity University. He is the president of the Black Child Development Institute, the Boys and Girls Scouts School and the Even Start Family Literacy Program. In addition, he is a member of the New Jersey Child Care Advisory Council.
