Mr. Veit has 48 years of experience in the criminal justice field. Considered an authority on managing medium-security correctional facilities and organizing programs for inmates, he consults on finding sites and facilities for parolees, and conducts meetings with local officials on education, drug testing and firearms for correctional facilities. Mr. Veit began his career as a deputy sheriff, moving on to occupy various positions in the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation including deputy director of the parole division. Now an independent consultant, he attributes his success to his work ethic and the quality of the education that he received.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Mr. Veit received his Bachelor of Arts in Asiatic Studies in 1953. He is affiliated with the California State Sheriffs' Association and the American Correctional Association. He works as a volunteer with the Paso Robles Police Department in his spare time.
