KJ-ing in the 21st Century....Computerized!!

If you have ever tried to run a karaoke show, you probably know how difficult it can be to quickly change discs and search for songs, without having large gaps of time in between tracks. Perhaps you are simply fed up of lugging around karaoke discs and players?

/24-7PressRelease/ - RALEIGH, NC, August 24, 2005 - MTU Hoster Software allows karaoke tracks to be stored digitally on a computer hard drive. If you already own a laptop or desktop, this eliminates the need to buy expensive karaoke players. MTU Hoster also saves your precious karaoke discs from general wear and tear, gives peace of mind, that your discs are stored safely at home, and allow you to automatically search for songs by the artist name or title.

When using dedicated hardware players, putting on a seamless show can be very difficult. Unless you have two players and expensive video mixing equipment, there is very little you can do about the gap when changing the track or disc in the player. MTU Hoster allows tracks to be changed almost instantly, eliminating those nasty silent moments and putting on a truly professional show.

Importing songs into the software is a breeze, and is as simple as selecting the tracks you want and then hitting a button. With the built-in compression, karaoke tracks typically take up less than half the space of there MP3 equivalent. Normalization allows the amplitude to be adjusted for each specific track during the import process, eliminating the need to adjust volume levels during the show.

The only limit to the number of songs you can store is the size of your hard disk, and the ridiculously easy to use search feature allows you to have more tracks than would ever be practically possible using a CD based system and hardware player. Track listings can be exported in rich text format or excel and then printed (or emailed) to potential clients, if you have a good collection this would no doubt help bring in extra business.

So, what happens if you are handed a disc to play during a show? Again, Hoster has it covered! The software can cache selected tracks off a disc, and you can then freely add them to your playlist as if they were stored on your hard disc. However, as soon as the computer is powered down or restarted the cached tracks will automatically be deleted, freeing you from any potential copyright issues.

As if that wasn't already enough, Hoster includes a database of over
240,000 songs from around 16,000 karaoke discs, saving you the hassle of manually naming each individual track when importing. With the ability to save and load playlist, multiple monitor support, built-in key change software and full crash recovery, it doesn't get much better than this!
