In This Volatile Market - Can We Believe Corporate Execs?

RealScoop provides a new tool to assess the comments of CEOs: Voice Analysis Technology. "Wall Street on RealScoop" is dedicated to analysis of video clips from CEOs and other executives discussing matters critical to the current financial crisis.

CHICAGO, IL, December 10, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- If corporate executives knew that their statements could be measured for believability via technology, would that change what they say to the public? RealScoop is determined to find out using the world's leading Voice Analysis Technology. "Wall Street on RealScoop" features clips from high-profile CEOs and corporate executives including Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang, AIG CEO Edward Liddy, and Ford CEO Alan Mulally.

RealScoop utilizes technology that is used around the world for law enforcement investigations and fraud prevention. The Believability Meter analyzes statements made by corporate executives during media interviews and earning calls, by performing more than 1,000 calculations per second on more than 100 vocal elements of the human voice. The Believability Meter then displays the amount of spin associated with the statement made, ranging from Believable to Highly Questionable.

"At RealScoop we understand that technology is constantly reinventing the way people consume information whether it is related to business or entertainment," said Sean Blair, Co-Founder of RealScoop. "Given the current economic market, both consumers and financial analysts are craving accurate information and our mission with this section is to use voice analysis technology in a positive way to analyze corporate statements so that executives will be mindful of the information they are giving to the public."

RealScoop is hoping that this technology adds a layer of culpability regarding public corporate statements and provides a tool for users to understand today's financial market. An example of the usefulness of this technology can be seen in an interesting clip from March 12 , 2008 where Bear Sterns' CEO Alan Schwartz discussed his company's status in a CNBC interview, revealing some interesting discrepancies.
