NEWBURY, NH, January 13, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Holly von Svoboda, Director of the Velie Memorial Fund, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of non-profit management.

With six years of experience serving on the board of the Velie Memorial Fund, Inc., Ms. von Svoboda was in charge of finding the location for a memorial playground site and raising funds for its construction. She became involved in the Fund because she always had compassion for children and children's projects. Her greatest mission was to fulfill a grandmother's dream and build a memorial playground in loving memory of Dianalee's lost loved ones. Ms. von Svoboda attributes her success to her communication skills and her love of children. She feels that working with Dianalee Velie, the grandmother of the victim, and being able to get the park site so close to the library are the highlights of her career.

Ms. von Svoboda completed college coursework at Shaws Business College in Toronto and volunteers for the Town of Newbury and local ski program and schools. An avid skier, she plans on spending time dedicating herself to her community and children's educational projects
