More than 12,000 people (mostly women) are expected to check out exhibitors' products, entertainment, foods and Authors' Row.

The fall show will see the first Authors' Row, which was organized by Augusta Reinich, assistant producer for the event, and Edmonton mystery author, Cheryl Kaye Tardif. Authors' Row will feature a total of five Alberta authors, who will be autographing and selling their books, just in time for the Christmas season.

One of these authors is Jackson Carter, who writes Canadian thrillers. "Participating in the EWS allows me the opportunity to meet energetic readers and murder mystery fans," says Carter. "The highest percentage of fictional murder mystery readers is females between the ages of 30 and 55."

Carter's debut novel Sins in the Name of the Father, a frank novel about murder and suspense examines how far someone is willing to go to have their cause accepted by society. His latest novel, Bull, explores a fictional conspiracy theory involving the intentional infection of Canada's beef by the American government.

Jackson Carter is currently working on a non-fiction story sports story called The Last Season and a fictional novel for a US literary agent called The New Plague upon America. He was also involved in a fundraiser with A.F.T.E.R. Canada, (Authors For Tragic Event Relief), which raised funds after the 2004 tsunami in Asia. Carter is in the process of setting up his website at http://www.jacksoncarter.ca.
