/24-7PressRelease/ - EDMONTON, AB, CANADA, September 24, 2005 ~ Family Productions Inc. is gearing up for this fall's Edmonton Woman's Show, taking place on October 15th and 16th at Northlands AgriCom in Edmonton, Alberta. More than 12,000 people (mostly women) are expected to check out exhibitors' products, entertainment, foods and Authors' Row, including author and regional VP for Crime Writers of Canada, Lorna Schultz Nicholson.

The fall show will see the first Authors' Row, which was organized by Augusta Reinich, assistant producer for the event, and Edmonton mystery author, Cheryl Kaye Tardif. Authors' Row will feature a total of five Alberta authors, who will be autographing and selling their books, just in time for the Christmas season.

One of these authors is Lorna Schultz Nicholson. She has been a television co-host and reporter, radio host and reporter, fitness coordinator and rowing coach. Now she is a full time mother and fiction author who writes both mystery novels and children's sport novels. She is based in Calgary where she lives with her husband, three children, two dogs and one cat. She is always busy working on her novels.

Nicholson is the author of the Intuko/Angie Melville mystery series and children's sports novels, including See Fox Run, Interference, Roughing and Against the Boards. She is not only an established author, she is also the Western VP for Crime Writers of Canada.

"I'm really looking forward to being in Edmonton for this show," says Nicholson. "I want to be involved in the Edmonton Woman's Show because I know women enjoy reading my novels and it is important for women to relax now and again. We don't often get the chance. Plus, women are so involved in their children's lives that I think they might appreciate my children's novels. Especially those mom's with boys. I have so many excited moms tell me it's great because finally they found some books their boys will like. And the truth is, girls like my books too."

Other authors on Authors' Row include Sue Paulson, Jackson Carter, Joyce Harries, and Cheryl Kaye Tardif. Writers' resources will be available for aspiring authors at Cheryl Kaye Tardif's booth, including publishing guides from Trafford Publishing and brochures from the WGA and CWC.
