MADISON, WI, February 09, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Recently on a trip I made to Madison Wisconsin, I came a across one of the most fantastic finds in many years of travels. Nestled on Monroe St., a historical area in what is often referred to as the "most livable" city in America, was the treasure known as Borokhim's Oriental Rugs.
When walking into this Oriental rug store, I was overwhelmed with a sense of curiosity as I wandered around viewing these luxurious persian rugs. These rugs include fine Bijar rugs, Heriz rugs, and Tabriz rugs (many of which can be viewed at http://www.persianbijar.com). Almost as soon as I walked into the shop I was greeted by the enthusiastic owner Mr. Albert Borokhim.
Albert was happy to take me around his Oriental rug store and provided me a great lesson on what makes persian handmade rugs among the most valuable woven rugs. He also explained how oriental rugs are made, the difference between Iranian rugs and Afghanistan rugs, as well as the history of many rug weavers.
There are many great sights and things to do in and around Madison Wisconsin, and Borokhim's Oriental Rugs store is one you shouldn't miss. If you don't have a chance to visit the store in person and you are passionate about persian rugs, a large selection from his collection of rare rugs can be found at http://www.persianbijar.com.
