/24-7PressRelease/ - October 07, 2005 - Steve Lavine, Founder and CEO of Transparensee Systems has been invited to demonstrate the "Discovery Search Engine" to attendees at Web 2.0, the annual event which brings leading Internet industry companies together to focus on innovation and technology developments.

The "Discovery Search Engine" is a powerful "fuzzy" search technology, which lets visitors to a website quickly and easily find the best match for any product they're looking for without having to continuously refine their search criteria. This solves a major problem of online search, which is "no results found."

Lavine's presentation will be featured in a new segment called "UI Minute," which highlights innovations in Web interface and design. According to the producers of Web 2.0, "these breakthroughs will point the way to how we will all be interacting with the Web in the near future."

"We're extremely excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate our technology at such an prestigious event and to such an influential audience," says Lavine. Those participating in this year's conference include: Barry Diller, Terry Semel, and eBay Founder Pierre Omidyar, to name just a few.

According to Web 2.0 Program Chair John Batelle, "Web 2.0 attracts those at the top of the Internet industry who are driving innovations and business performance in the next generation of Internet-leveraged companies."

Batelle, who is also the author of the recently released book "The Search" recently featured Transparensee on his "Searchblog," calling it "powerful stuff" which "solves a core database search issue."

Product Search has become an important focus in ecommerce, which according to Forrester Research is expected to increase 22% this year, reaching $172.8 billion in sales. A recent study by Jupiter MediaMetrix reveals that 85% of site searches don't provide results that the user is looking for, causing 80% of visitors to abandon the site.
