Web File Upload - As Easy as Drag and Drop

Rad Inks announced the release of Rad Upload 2.20, a popular applet used on tens of thousands of web sites for handling file uploads.

/24-7PressRelease/ - November 08, 2005 - With Rad Upload, visitors to a website simply drag and drop files onto their browser and the files are instantly transfered to the server. While conventional upload systems can tackle only a handfull of files, this software can easily transfer thousands of file and folders with giga bytes of data all at once.

Since it's debut in 2003, Rad Upload has gained wide acceptance and it is currently used by tens of thousands of webmasters to build more user friendly websites. Web developers have found the advanced features of Rad Upload; such as client side image scaling can lead to significant reduction in development time for applications such as Photo and Video Galleries or Content Management Systems.

Client side image scaling lowers processor, memory and bandwidth consumption. This benefit can be further enhanced with other bandwidth saving features of the applet such filtering unwanted files. The end result is that web site owners can serve a bigger user base with the existing resources.

The Rad Upload applet is compatible with all popular browsers such as Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Safari and Opera on Windows, Linux and OS X. It is also compatible with popular server side technologies such as PHP,Java, Perl and .NET
