Ms. Salvador has 25 years of professional experience, three of which have been in her current position with the United States Postal Service. She notes that she became involved in her profession after being inspired by an article she read about a mail carrier. Ms. Salvador considers serving in a temporary detailed station to be the highlight of her career and attributes her success to her positive attitude. Prior to attaining her current position, she worked as a political liaison for the National Association of Letter Carriers and had the opportunity to meet the members of the House of Representatives and Senate, as well as presidential candidates, to discuss postal issues.

In 2008, Ms. Salvador was recognized as the Professional of the Year in Postal Services by Cambridge Who's Who.
