SANTA ANA, CA, April 24, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The non-profit education researcher and publisher MIND Research Institute announced the release of its revolutionary ST Math: Instructional Learning System at the National Council of Teacher's of Mathematics Annual Conference in Washington D.C. This release marks a whole new category of comprehensive, integrated teaching and learning tools unlike any other.

"The ST Math Instructional Learning System incorporates content, assessment, data driven reports, and unparalleled functionality that can be accessed from the classroom, the lab, and in a student's home environment," said Ted Smith, Chairman of MIND Research Institute. "With the ST Math System, the way students learn and are taught mathematics will never be the same again."

The ground-up systems design, partially funded by grants from the Cisco Foundation, adds multiple powerful new layers to the core innovation of MIND's award-winning, language independent math computer games through rich new teacher and student centric features and functionality.

Teachers have real-time access to a wide variety of data-driven reports to evaluate student mastery of standards, review student learning patterns, identify where interventions are needed, and more. Within the system, they can assign student pre and post-tests to assess math fluency, bring the software into a whole class setting on interactive whiteboards, realign content to complement their classroom instruction, customize lessons for groups of students, and because of full web delivery, assign homework. Professional development, online training, dedicated support, and regional or onsite teacher briefings round out this very robust math solution.

Students are now able to track and review their individual progress through reports that indicate changes in mastery or fluency over time, time on task, and quiz scores. Within the program they have the option of virtually raising their hand for instructional guidance if they reach a learning hurdle.

The core of the learning system is engaging, fun to play games, which present virtual manipulatives that illustrate math standards, help the student visualize problem structure and efficiently identify paths to a solution.
