Janet R. Meza has 32 years of professional experience, 19 of which have been in her position with the County of Santa Barbara. A specialist in all aspects of accounting, she is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and some audits. She notes that an interest in working with numbers inspired her to become involved in her profession, and considers making a difference in her community to be the most gratifying aspect of her career.

Familial support and faith in God are the keys to Ms. Meza's success. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was honored with the Team Player of the Year Award by the Office of the Auditor-Controller. A talented poet, she also received the Editor's Choice Award from Noble House. She completed coursework at the Chicago Institute of Financial Education and the County of Santa Barbara Employees' University.
