STATE COLLEGE, PA, February 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Austin Van Allen has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Hailing from a family of teachers, Mr. Van Allen felt a natural desire to meld his love of the arts and his desire to teach, culminating in his current work as an art and music teacher for State College Area School District, where he teaches seventh and eighth grade students. In addition to his efforts in the educational system, he continues to exhibit his art with such institutions as the M.A.D.S. Art Gallery and the Bellefonte Art Museum. In 2022, Mr. Van Allen has several exhibits lined up as well at the MONAT Gallery, the Virtual Artists Gallery and Otto's Pub and Brewery.

An expert in his field, Mr. Van Allen earned a master's degree from the Pennsylvania State University. He is further affiliated with the Pennsylvania Middle Level Educators, the Pennsylvania Arts Education Association and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association in order to remain aware of changes in the field. Over the years, he has completed a number of commissioned works, including "Roll for Hope," which was a 24x14 inch watercolor and ink piece, and "Cascade," which was a larger piece done with the same media. Additionally, Mr. Van Allen has had the honor of being featured in Centre Arts Magazine.

For his outstanding body of work, Mr. Van Allen has been recognized with the Dorothy Young Scholarship for Music Arts Education. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of being part of the curriculum writing committee for the students in his district. Within the coming years, Mr. Van Allen aims to continue his own studies, teach, seek out more opportunities that allow him to help others hone their creative instincts and experience the continued success of his careers in both education and the arts.
