Graf, a Clinical Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, has been recognized by the Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education. Dr. Graf has received multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Science in biology, a Masters of Arts in Teaching, a Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling and a Doctor of Education in Administration and Policy Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
Currently, Dr. Graf directs the Western Pennsylvania Principals Academy, a professional development and support network for elementary, middle and high school principals. More than two hundred-fifty principals participate in one of the five Academy cohorts.
During his 42-year career in public education, Dr. Otto L. Graf held a variety of positions including teacher, counselor, director of staff development and principal. Graf was responsible for developing a series of programs targeted at improving the instructional skills of teachers and the supervision skills of administrators. While serving as the high school principal, Oliver High School, a Pittsburgh Public School, transformed from one of the most troubled high schools in the system to a solid, safe school. Oliver experienced a dramatic revitalization and received an award issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for improved test scores, increased graduation rates, and lowered the drop-out rate. Dr. Graf was named principal of Mt. Lebanon High School in suburban Pittsburgh. During his nine-year tenure, the school earned two Blue Ribbon Flags of Excellence from the U.S. Department of Education.
Recently, Graf has been appointed C.E.O. of eSchool Tools, an educational technology company. eSchoolTools develops web-applications to help administrators and teachers enhance instruction for students, and promote literacy through writing, reading, and technology.
