Coleman, Field Representative and Co-Founder of Vermont Associates for Mexican Opportunity and Support, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in non-profit management.

An author and publisher by trade, Ms. Coleman discovered a second calling in philanthropy after a trip to central Mexico, which opened her eyes to the deprivation and hopelessness that beset impoverished women and children in that area. The experience left in her an overwhelming desire to help out. Together with her husband, she then established VAMOS!, a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting child welfare across Mexico. An expert in fundraising and writing, she supervises 95 employees and oversees operations for 12 community centers that offer food, education and healthcare services.

Less than three decades after establishing VAMOS!, Ms. Coleman is proud to have spearheaded no less than 81 projects, all of which were designed to empower the poor. She also played an integral role in forming two non-profit corporations, one in the United States and the other in Mexico. She finds deep personal fulfillment in utilizing her gifts to help the underserved and looks forward to more years in the same capacity.
