In December, 2001 I wrote my first article for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Just as the Auxiliary played a role in the response to Sept 11th, so it is true that Auxiliarists played a role in the Rescue efforts of those who were the victims of both Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.
