The 7th Annual Best in the West Showdown, held February 7-9, 2025, in Big Sky Town Center, once again brought together the best skijoring teams in North America to battle it out for $15,000 in prize money.

Skijoring Expands To Three Days, FMX Freestyle Snowmobile Returns & Adds Slopestyle Ski/Snowboard Expo.

The Big Sky Skijoring Association (BSSJ) will host their 6th Annual Best In The West Showdown Presented By Delzer Diversified, Lone Mountain Land Company, Lone Mountain Ranch, & RentBiz in Big Sky, Montana on February 3-4, 2024.

This year's Showdown course combined creative terrain park design and elements of bank slalom with huge fire features, hot tub gap jumps, and the world's first ever snowmobile backflip over a live skijoring race.

The Best In The West Showdown is an explosive combination of lightning fast horses and daredevil-skiing taken right to the edge. All held together by rope, guts and grit, and showcased in the town center of beautiful Big Sky, Montana.
