/24-7PressRelease/ - HOUSTON, TX, February 23, 2008 - The Virtual Workspace provides access not only to skills that any administrative assistant or office manager would possess, (including word processing, appointment setting, data entry, and reminder services) but also to services and utilities that businesses use on a daily basis, without the client having to purchase equipment and software, or paying for installation or long-term contracts. "The Virtual Workspace offers one-stop shopping for business owners and professionals," said the company's founder, Adana Washington, a life-long clerical worker.

The site is designed to offer all the services that a business owner needs most. "Many businesses can use this service," noted Mamie Ross, a retired school teacher and Mary Kay consultant. "It lets them focus on their sales while giving them the extra help that they need." Unlike other virtual assistant sites, The Virtual Workspace doesn't just provide clerical services; it provides bundled service packages, customized to fit each client's needs and budget. These packages can include telephone and fax services, mailing and shipping, online shopping and inventory control, and even technical support for computer issues. The company also provides tips and advice for their clients through their frequently updated blog and personalized monthly newsletters.

Washington, a former soldier and virtual assistant, said she created The Virtual Workspace after seeing business owners struggle to manage their administrative work and utility services, all while trying to focus on customer service. "I've seen so many entrepreneurs give up on their dream because they just couldn't handle all the work. I wanted to give them a fighting chance by taking some of the load off their shoulders, all while letting them stay in control of what's going on with their business," Washington said. Pam Sorich, finance manager of Laser Way in Spring, Texas, noted that many business owners - especially small business owners - are too busy trying to run their business, and the administrative work piles up too quickly for them to handle."

Washington explaned that business owners, from anywhere they do business, can call The Virtual Workspace, or log into the website and submit work orders - adminstrative and creative assignments - which are done exactly to their specifications. Also, The Virtual Workspace has introduced Rendezvous, a service bundle that combined the administrative and creative skills of their virtual assistants with utility services that can all be handled online. Each business owner can choose the services they want, at a price that fits their budget. "The best part is that they don't have to hire an employee to do the work," Washington said. "The Virtual Workspace acts as an independent contractor, and we provide our own equipment, software, and office space. That way, our clients can focus more of their time, energy, and resources on their customers."

The Virtual Workspace is headquartered in Houston, Texas, but Washington is looking to expand to every major metropolitan city in the nation. "I really want to be able to make a positive impact in the business community," she said. The Virtual Workspace's web site offers a list of services and talks about the benefits of working with a virtual assistant. The site also includes the company's blog, "The Virtual Water Cooler," which is authored by Washington herself, and gives a mixture of business advice and company news.
