Dr Abdul Hye is involved for than 35 years, possessing multi-dimensional individuality, which includes teaching English, anchoring/broadcasting radio and television news, being also a prolific freelance writer, (since school days) cricket commentator, and researcher on international affairs. He is a noted electronic celebrity in his country of origin, Bangladesh, widely respected, admired for his numerous achievements. He became an avid UN activist, since mid 2004, engaged in fostering, promoting sustainable global peace, campaigning for the UN Millennium Development Goals "No excuse 2015." besides participating at high profile UN conferences, Executive Committee Meetings of the World Federation of the United Nations Association.

With his extensive, resourceful media background, he has been largely successful in winning the hearts and minds of friends and foes alike with equal ease. Dr Hye is a cool, tough and yet friendly customer in dealing with problems of any proportion. His extra ordinary articulation skills, spell binding oratory ability are his gem of qualities to create win-win situation. For over 25 years, he was Consultant-Partner to large number of western donor countries, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, UNDP, etc, to Bangladesh, besides being Media Coordinator Specialist, with FINNIDA, the Finish Development Agency for Bangladesh. Following bloody war of independence of Bangladesh, December 1971, (in his early twenties) he was appointed Divisional Manager, Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation, Ministry of Communication, Government of Bangladesh, counterpart with a team of transport experts from CANAC Consultant Canada). This was a special assignment, he carried diligently until mid 1975, was successful for implementing carrying out responsibility in rehabilitating, putting a fleet of 300 buses, trucks on road on a war footing scale for smooth movement of emergency food and, bringing home thousands of stranded refugees from across West Bengal, India, who had taken shelter.

He was appointed, conferred to Ambassador for Peace, by Universal Peace Federation, one of the most active leading NGO operating in USA in conjunction with Special Consultative Status Economic and Social Council, UN, for global peace, since 2005. He has been rendering, volunteering valuable services, support, campaigning to champion, bring about lasting sustainable global peace, raising voices, towards implementing the eight crucial objectives of the Millennium Development Goals, "No excuse 2015." By his amiable, pleasant personality, Dr Hye is well known with leading worldwide organizations, business entrepreneurs, academicians, distinguished civil society professionals, veteran diplomats along the huge UN platform and its different affiliated agencies.

Dr Hye began career as English Teacher, 1966, with a catholic missionary school, (St Placids High School), Chittagong, Bangladesh, established 1853. For some years he was visiting Lecturer in English, with a Teachers Training College, Ministry of Education, Libya, in late seventies, early eighties. He was a keen sportsman, played active cricket while a student. In athletics, he excelled in Pole Vault, went on to smash, establish new records in school, college and University. Broadcasting, passion for cricket commentary was in his blood since his early school days, impeccably still vibrant in him. He built his links with veteran diplomats, think tanks, men of letters from different professional groups at home and abroad with the aim of working for durable world peace, fight against poverty, hunger, HIV AIDS, projecting global warming awareness, health and primary education. He attributes his success, if any, to self confidence, determination and domineering will power.

He profoundly recalls his mother as an enterprising lady of grit and determination. She was his first teacher, pioneer, philosopher guide, in primarily motivating his latent talents to flourish from his infancy. He profoundly recalls one of the most frequently quoted phrase of his mother, "turn every stone that is thrown at you into milestones," Her inspiring words since then instilled in him beacon of new hope, to overcome unknown barriers, challenges of all time with courage, conviction and faith. His parents, ancestral forefathers (paternal-maternal) were active, generous philanthropists of their time, owning vast landed properties across Khulna, Dhaka, Calcutta and Faridpur, what was then British Bengal India. He believes, 'in living for the sake of others.'

He obtained B.A. Honors, University degree, specializing in English Language and Literature, with B.A subsidiaries, on World History, Political Science, 1968-70, from Chittagong Government College, Chittagong University, founded 1869 during British rule, known to have produced brilliant scholars, including Nobel Laureate for Peace, 2006, Dr Mohammad Yunus. He took extensive training course on television-radio English News presentation, from BBC, Bush House London, was declared the best news reader for September 15, 2009Bangladesh Television, 1984. In 1985, he took intensive Short Certificate Course on Human Relation for Effective Management, Institute of Business Administration University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was conferred Fellowship on Electronic-Print Journalism with distinction, by Korea Press Center in conjunction with the prestigious Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, 1996. In 2002, he completed degree on Accelerated Executive MBA (a post graduate diploma in Business Administration) from Northern University, Bangladesh He was conferred to with Honorary Doctorate Diploma, Dominion of Christian College, NY, June 2005, in recognition, contribution to fostering fraternal ties, promoting American Global Brotherhood, in actively projecting, enhancing the Abrahamic interfaith with common roots of the Christian Muslims, Jews, aimed at bringing about harmony, unity, socio-political economic justice, human rights, reducing conflicts for lasting global peace.

He was awarded Certificate Course on Executive Marketing Entrepreneurship, conducted by United Nations Association of USA, New York, World View Institute, 2007. He holds the distinction of being honored with Certification Semester Course on Global Leadership from the School of International & Public Affairs, Columbia University, 2008. Over the last 30 years or so he has been honored, decorated with scores of certificates, proclamation, in recognition to his untiring contribution in various fields, subjects, topics at home and abroad. Mentionable, "Challenging Studies & Challenging Behaviors, conducted by Educational Resource Services, New York, affiliated with Chapman University College, Extended education, and Orange, California. He took active part in the First Three-Day Annual AsianMBA Leadership Conference held in New York, September 2009.

Dr Hye is a regular participant, discussant at UNA-USA, Foreign Policy Association of USA, United Nations University, NY, the annual DPI/NGO/UN Conference, besides attending seminars, symposiums at SIPA, Columbia University, etc. Over the last 25-30 years or so, he has moderated, hosted and anchored scores of interviews of world dignitaries, at home and abroad for the electronic media. As Ambassador of Peace, since 2006, he has been active, being a regular participant at several International Leadership Peace Conferences, Global Peace Festivals across USA and, at different world capitals.
